Welcome to the Ding Dong Challenge, a game were we try and correctly predict who will hit the most home runs in a given week, keep score throughout the entire season, and win a free, awesome t-shirt. Here’s last week’s report card and this week’s list of “elites”. If you want to play, just pick one player from the “elites” and two players from the “everyone else” category (which is just everyone who’s not elite), then list your team in the comments. The sooner you create your team, the better as you only get the homers from when your team is posted till the end of the week!

Well done GratefulMatt for managing to not only ride Paul Goldschmidt’s hot start, but to also pair him with anyone who knocked another dong to make sure he ended with sole possession of first place. Otherwise we would’ve been stuck with a three way tie for first this week and that’s dumb. No fun in that.
My condolences to Salti Craker and Calvin C who hooked their buggy onto iffy hitters like Mike Trout, Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Judge, all of whom unsurprisingly failed to hit any dingers. I’m telling you, that Mike Trout is an average baseball player, don’t listen to what anyone says. (I obviously joke. He good.)
The BIG dongers:
(guys who hit the most homers last week)
- Christian Yelich (4)
- Cody Bellinger (4)
- Paul Goldschmidt (4)
- Khris Davis (4)
Onto this week’s elites (which is a mildly random group of people since we’re only a couple games into the season, but hey, congrats to Joc Pederson for having the 4th best ISO in the MLB right now!)
