Fantasy Hockey Forecaster: March 18th – March 24th

Welcome to this week’s Fantasy Hockey Forecaster! In here, you’ll find:

• Each team’s ranking for goalies, forwards, PK and PP against the other teams in the league. These stats are as of 3/14/2019.
• Three players who are on fire (this might not even be points wise, it might be an uptick in play that signals to me they are on the cusp of some point production
• Three players who are cooling off (this will also include players that aren’t materializing the way we expect)
• Three free agent pickups (among all players under 50% owned, preferably some in the single digits and some that are close to 50 to feed all different sizes of leagues)
• The schedule which will show each team they play and what the individual rankings are for each matchup, this is more useful in the daily leagues where you are looking at individual matchups

1. Patrice Bergeron (96% owned). Four goals and three assists over his last seven games to go with two power play points and three short handed points.
2. Jake Guentzel (90% owned). Seven goals and five assists as well as a plus six, three power play points and 13 hits across his last eight games.
3. Matt Murray (90% owned). Seven starts, five wins, 1 shutout and just 15 goals allowed.

3 players who are cooling off

1. Anze Kopitar (82% owned). No goals across his last six shots over six games. In addition he’s -5 over that time.
2. Artemi Panarin (98% owned). Over his last seven games he has no goals (over 15 shots), three assists and a -7.
3. Semyon Varlamov (76% owned). Three starts, two losses and 10 goals allowed.

3 free agent pickups (under 50%)

1. Jared McCann (34% owned). He’s on Sidney Crosby’s line now, enough said.
2. Adam Henrique (17% owned). He’s on a line with Corey Perry and they are doing well as of late. Four goals in his last eight games to go with a power play point and 67 faceoffs won.
3. Mikko Koskinen (47% owned). Third week in a row because somehow he hasn’t crossed 50%, four wins in his last five starts including a shutout and just 11 goals allowed.
