Our Top 40 starters was highlighted by Kershaw’s ranking as the 17th hurler off the board. He was after Corbin, Strasburg, and Paxton...but just ahead of Clevinger, Flaherty, Taillon, and Berrios. Say what you will, but I think League 1 of The Great Fantasy Baseball Invitational pegged this situation correctly:

I dig that Part 2 begins with Andrew Heaney, as he popped up for me in my review of last year’s best starting pitchers. A year ago, Heaney ranked inside the Top 30 for swinging strike rate and inside the Top 15 for chase rate among starters.
You’ll notice a lot of deviations among the ranks. Nothing to fret over. That will be true in your drafts, too, at this juncture. Take who you feel strongly about. And as always, tell us who you’d like to hear more about as Pitcher Week rolls on...
