Prediction 1: Kyler Murray finishes as a top seven QB
Justification: Against mobile QBs this year, Lamar Jackson had 247 yards and three touchdowns to go with 66 rushing yards, Josh Allen had 266 yards, and 28 rushing yards with 2 rushing touchdowns and Russel Wilson had 295 yards, 2 touchdowns and 31 rushing yards with 1 rushing touchdown. Meanwhile Kyler has at least 25 rushing yards in four of his last five games (the one where he didn’t was against an excellent Steelers defense) and he has thrown at least 2 touchdowns in four of his last five (the one he didn’t was against a good Rams defense). Finally, Oklahoma #1 showdown, you better believe Baker and Kyler are amped for this.
Prediction 2: Davante Adams finishes outside the top 25 this week
Justification: Davante has yet to put together back to back solid performances, every time he has 100 receiving yards, he follows it up with a 40 yards no TD clunker. He is facing the Bears who actually had two rough weeks lately allowing both Michael Gallup and Kenny Golladay 100+ receiving yards and 1 TD but before that went three consecutive weeks without a WR getting so much as 80+ yards.
Prediction 3: Adrian Peterson is a top 15 RB this week
Justification: Adrian is getting a lot of carries with Derrius Guice out and Haskins nursing an injury. Philadelphia has a good defensive line, they held Saquon Barkley to just 66 yards rushing and Chris Carson to 26 yards over the last three weeks. If Derek Barnett is out that doesn’t help the Eagles but Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox will be waiting to pick up the slack. I’m wondering if we see Adrian get involved in some passes.
Prediction 4: Josh Lambo is a top seven kicker this week
Justification: After a rough welcome back for Gardner Minshew against the Chargers last week, I think Jacksonville rebounds and we see some TDs and Field Goals. Josh is the most accurate kicker in the league this year with 96.3% of field goals made. We are talking Justin Tucker-esque level kicking here.
Prediction 5: Houston Texans at Tennessee Titans over/under is 50, give me the under at 44.5 points
Justification: This feels like a trap game to me. Honestly it’s all gut, after four consecutive games where the Titans have scored 35+ points and three straight games where Houston has scored 20+ points, I think we see a low scoring affair.
Recapping Week 14
Prediction 1: T Allen Robinson II is not a top 25 WR this week
Recap: I SINCERELY apologize on this one, Allen went off and I joined the collective as dumbfounded by Mitchell Trubisky and his 3 touchdowns as well as Dallas who is in full on free fall at this point in the season.
Prediction 2: Cleveland at Cincinnati over/under is 40.5, give me the over at 45.5 pts
Recap: Cincinnati hit a field goal with a minute left to bring the total on this game to 46 points. How do you like dem apples! (Grade: A)
Prediction 3: Phillip Rivers finishes as a top 10 QB with no interceptions this week
Recap: He was the sixth best QB with 314 yards and no interceptions. (Grade: A)
Prediction 4: Seattle D/ST is a top 10 play this week vs. the Rams
Recap: Seattle limited the Rams to 12 points as they had 2 interceptions a defensive touchdown and a blocked kick (Grade: A)
Prediction 5: Alvin Kamara finishes outside the top 20 this week vs. the 49ers
Recap: He was the 32nd best RB as somehow, in spite of a 46 point affair, he still had a terrible game. (Grade A)
2019 YTD Grades:
Grade A: 21
Grade B: 12
Grade C: 8
Grade D: 28
