Lamar Jackson’s taken over as the unquestioned QB1 in fantasy. Ryan Tannehill can’t be stopped. He’s a Top 5 option. Ryan Fitzpatrick is now a streamable fantasy asset. Tom Brady takes a tumble. And Andy Dalton’s return doesn’t mean he’s fantasy relevant.
Week 13 Quarterback Rankings
Rank | Quarterback | Team | Opponent | High Floor/High Ceiling QB1 |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rank | Quarterback | Team | Opponent | High Floor/High Ceiling QB1 |
| Lamar Jackson | BAL | SF | The matchup is irrelevant. No one can do what Jackson can. |
| Patrick Mahomes | KC | OAK | When these teams faced off in Week 2, at Oakland and without Tyreek Hill, Oakland's secondary was still largely intact and Mahomes still hung 443 passing yards and 4 interception-less touchdowns on them. |
| Jameis Winston | TB | at JAX | Ben Roethlisberger 2.0 cannot be stopped. Winston is 2nd in the NFL in both passing yards and touchdowns and 1st in the NFL in interceptions. Against the Jags last week, Ryan Tannehill just posted a line of 259 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, along with 7 carries for 40 yards, 2 rushing scores, and a fumble lost. Winston and his pair of 1,000 yard receivers, Mike Evans and Chris Godwin, are good bets to once again blow up the box score against Jacksonville this week. |
| Josh Allen | BUF | at DAL | He's matchup-proof at this point. |
| Ryan Tannehill | TEN | at IND | Since debuting as the starter in Week 7, Tannehill is averaging the 3rd-highest points per game in fantasy football. He's even begun to show a rushing floor over the last 3 games with 37-40 yards in each contest and 3 total rushing touchdowns. Indy plays decent defense against the pass but at this point, Tannehilll needs to be locked into starting lineups. |
| Kyler Murray | ARI | LAR | The Cards were a bit banged up, heading into their Week 12 bye. Already smashing box scores over the last 3 weeks, playing with an less-than-100% supporting cast, Murray should light up the scoreboard even in this tough spot. |
| Russell Wilson | SEA | MIN | Wilson had a down week in a good spot, last week against the Eagles. Things should get back on track this week against a nominally strong Vikings secondary. |
| Drew Brees | NO | at ATL | Even with ATL's defense generally getting back on track, last week's showing against Jameis Winston showed that strong passing games can still get the job done. Brees and Co. qualify as such. |
| Kirk Cousins | MIN | at SEA | Seattle's defense is porous and injured. Back-end VP contender, Kirk Cousins, should have another fine showing. |
| Deshaun Watson | HOU | NE | New England's defense is a stout as ever. Watson can only be dropped so low though. |
| Dak Prescott | DAL | BUF | Buffalo's pass defense is top notch but Prescott has fared well in almost every outing, outside of last week's against the Pats. |
| Sam Darnold | NYJ | at CIN | Darnold's gotten the job done over the last 3 games -- all great matchups. He's got another on tap this week against the leagues slowest defense. |
High Floor/Capped Ceiling QB2s | ||||
| Ryan Fitzpatrick | MIA | PHI | Incredibly, Fitzmagic finds himself as this week's top streamer against Philly's weak secondary. His fearless bomb-chucking should pay dividends. |
| Daniel Jones | NYG | GB | Green Bay's defense continues to be talked about as strong while hemorrhaging points right and left. |
| Aaron Rodgers | GB | at NYG | New York's defense continues to be correctly talked about as awful. This game has low-key shootout potential. |
| Carson Wentz | PHI | at MIA | Miami will score at a respectable rate, forcing Wentz to have to throw, throw, and throw against Miami's awful defense. |
| Nick Foles | JAX | TB | Tampa Bay's secondary is as bad as they come. |
| Jacoby Brissett | IND | TEN | Brissett should retain his expected mid-tier QB2-ness in this one. |
| Tom Brady | NE | at HOU | Even in a great matchup, Brady's tough to trust with a decimated receiving corps. |
| Kyle Allen | CAR | WAS | Allen's supporting cast of after-the-catch mavens should buoy him into useful QB2 production in this excellent matchup. |
| Jeff Driskel | DET | CHI | Monitor the practice report to see how his hammy's doing. Driskel is an good ol' rushing floor-based QB2. |
| Matt Ryan | ATL | NO | Ryan has not performed seviceably as of late. Still, there should be points available in this shootout. |
| Baker Mayfield | CLE | at PIT | Mayfield owners should probably hold him on their bench this week. It's a bad matchup but Weeks 14 and 15 he's got CIN and @ ARI. |
| Philip Rivers | LAC | at DEN | Rivers just isn't all that fantasy relevant anymore. Bad matchup too. |
Low Ceiling/Low Floor QB1s | ||||
| Jimmy Garoppolo | SF | at BAL | Jimmy G's been startable as of late. This is too tough of a spot though. |
| Derek Carr | OAK | at KC | Carr's ceiling is a mid-tier QB2 against the KC D. |
| Jared Goff | LAR | at ARI | Great matchup, bad player. |
| Andy Dalton | CIN | NYJ | It's entirely possible Dalton comes out guns blazing but we'll remain pessimistic on the Rusty Red Rifle for now. |
| Mitchell Trubisky | CHI | at DET | Ranking him above dead last could be a mistake. It's a decent matchup though. |
| Brandon Allen | DEN | LAC | Not a recommended start. |
| Develin Hodges | PIT | CLE | This is likely to be a terrible, terrible game. |
| Dwayne Haskins Jr. | WAS | at CAR | Keep him out of your lineups at all costs. |
