Fantasy Hockey Forecaster: October 21st – 26th

Welcome to the Fantasy Hockey Forecaster! In here, you’ll find:

• Each team’s ranking for goalies, forwards, PK and PP against the other teams in the league. These stats are as of 10/10/2019 (there is no separation for home vs. away since the season is so young).
• Three players who are on fire (this might not even be points wise, it might be an uptick in play that signals to me they are on the cusp of some point production
• Three players who are cooling off (this will also include players that aren’t materializing the way we expect)
• Three free agent pickups (among all players under 50% owned, preferably some in the single digits and some that are close to 50 to feed all different sizes of leagues)
• The schedule which will show each team they play and what the individual rankings are for each matchup, this is more useful in the daily leagues where you are looking at individual matchups

2. David Pastrnak (100% owned) Man is he playing well. The last week has netted six goals, two assists and five power play points.
3. Nick Schmaltz (25% owned) With three goals and four assists over his last four games, Nick is doing well on the 2^nd Coyotes line alongside Conor Garland and Christian Dvorak.

3 players who are cooling off (not panicking on any of them)

1. Artemi Panarin (100% owned) This dry spell won’t last. After four points in first two games, he has gone pointless and a -4 in the last two games across 8 shots on goal.
2. Ryan O’Reilly (99% owned). No points in three straight with a -3, St. Louis will rebound soon after three consecutive losses.
3. Cory Schneider (63% owned) New Jersey has struggled and so has Cory who allowed six goals

1. Cam Fowler (14% owned) He had a down year last season but he is going to rebound and it has begun over the last few games.
2. Paul Stastny (15% owned). I would highlight this is two seasons now he has started strong. Sitting with six points over the last week, he is playing well on the 2nd line with Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone so he’s in good company
3. Thatcher Demko (48% owned). He’s been getting some serious playing time for the Canucks even with Jakob Markstrom back. The team got a good preliminary view of their future goalie and might be giving him some serious considerations going forward.
