2019 Fantasy Football Rankings: Wide receivers for Week 5

Last week, I used this space to highlight Davante Adams. Mike Evans had sleep-walked through the first two weeks of the season before exploding in Week 3, paving the way to highlight an elite wide receiver (Adams) who hadn’t lived up to the preseason hype but was in a prime spot to erupt.

Adams did just that, pasting a hapless Eagles secondary for 10 catches and 180 yards. Six of those catches and 107 of those yards came in the first quarter, while a toe injury cut Adams’ night short and didn’t allow him to go full Mount Vesuvius.

This week, a receiver who has underwhelmed the last few weeks and was drafted in the same range as Adams is in a picturesque spot. DeAndre Hopkins has followed up an outstanding Week 1 performance (8/11/2) with three pedestrian lines of 5/40/0, 6/67/0 and 5/41/0.

But up next is a matchup against the Atlanta Falcons, who were just eviscerated by Titans wide receivers A.J. Brown and Corey Davis for a combined 185 yards and three touchdowns through the air. T.Y. Hilton and Nelson Agholor went over 16 fantasy points each against the same secondary the previous two weeks. Nuk – and Will Fuller too – is going to eat on Sunday.
