Deshaun Watson owners, R-E-L-A-X.

NFL: Houston Texans at New Orleans Saints Derick E. Hingle-USA TODAY Sports

Aaron Rodgers regained QB1 status while Jared Goff continued his free fall. Baker Mayfield and Jacoby Brissett made big leaps last week, bringing both of them to the QB1/QB2 fringes. Deshaun Watson and Kyler Murray are setup for huge QB1 days, in a pair of mouthwatering matchups.

Week 5 Quarterback Rankings

Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s
Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s
1 Patrick Mahomes KC IND This could get ugly.
2 Lamar Jackson BAL at PIT He could take the QB1 spot this week.
3 Tom Brady NE at WAS Phenomenal matchup -- very possible he hangs 300 yards and multiple scores on them by the end of the 1st half.
4 Deshaun Watson HOU ATL This is a get-right game for Houston as a whole. ATL's defense is a wet paper towel.
5 Dak Prescott DAL GB Dak stumbled last week and Green Bay's defense has played the pass well -- but they've only looked stout againt Trubisky, Cousins, and Flacco.\
6 Aaron Rodgers GB at DAL Jamaal Williams injury lead to more work for Aaron Rodgers and Aaron Jones' and they both profited in the box score. Davante Adams' injury hurts but Rodgers should see far more freedom with the fallout from last week.
7 Kyler Murray ARI at CIN Blowup spot for Murray on the ground here.
8 Carson Wentz PHI NYJ With the Eagles' health improving, Wentz gets a Jets defense that's reliably given up solid fantasy outings to opposing QBs.
9 Matt Ryan ATL at HOU Although struggling on screen, the Falcons' signal caller continues to give us usable fantasy days.
10 Russell Wilson SEA LAR It's tough to get a read on how good the Rams' defense is, Wilson should retain low-end QB1 value though.
11 Jameis Winston TB at NO It could be fools' gold but the Bucs offense has been on fire lately.
12 Baker Mayfield CLE at SF Mayfield had a decent get-right game last week and he's got a good chance to build on that in SF.
High Floor/High Ceiling QB2s
13 Philip Rivers LAC DEN The Denver defense wasn't what we thought it was before Bradley Chubb went don't with an ACL tear last week.
14 Jacoby Brissett IND at KC Brissett is pushing for a Top 12 ranking and this is a stellar matchup for him.
15 Josh Allen BUF at TEN A tough matchup and only recently being cleared of the concussion protocol drops Allen into the QB2 range but his ceiling is well within the QB1 field.
High Floor/Capped Ceiling QB2s
16 Gardner Minshew JAX at CAR Minshew Mania is real.
17 Jared Goff LAR at SEA The McVay system should carry him to mid-tier QB2 fantasy relevance.
18 Marcus Mariota TEN BUF Devastating matchup but Mariota is pick-less through 4 games.
19 Daniel Jones NYG MIN The Vikings defense will be after him all day long -- leading to a lovely display of his rushing floor.
20 Chase Daniel CHI OAK He's got the weapons and the system to be solidly in Top 20 consideration.
21 Mason Rudolph PIT BAL As ugly as it's looked, he's got the supporting cast to stay QB2 relevant.
22 Jimmy Garoppolo SF CLE Cleveland's defense is still a bit banged up.
23 Andy Dalton CIN ARI Dalton is buyoed entirely by the matchup here.
24 Kyle Allen CAR JAX Allen get's JAX's up-in-the-air defense.
Shaky Floor/Low Ceiling QB3s
25 Joe Flacco DEN at LAC Sutton and Sanders keep him out of the QB3 range against the Chargers.
26 Kirk Cousins MIN at NYG As good of a matchup as there will ever be for him but the game plan won't involve him much.
27 Derek Carr OKA at CHI Brutal matchup.
28 Teddy Bridgewater NO TB TB's front-seven has been superb.
29 Luke Falk NYJ at PHI Philly's secondary is leaky but their defensive line is going be putting Falk on his back -- a lot.
30 Colt McCoy WAS NE Gruden's ousting of Haskins didn't take long. Bill Belichick is going to make life hell for McCoy.
