2019 Fantasy Football Rankings: Quarterbacks for Week 7

Russell Wilson, QB1.

NFL: Seattle Seahawks at Cleveland Browns Scott R. Galvin-USA TODAY Sports

There’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Russell Wilson, QB1. Lamar Jackson and Kyler Murray take a leap while Patrick Mahomes’s bum ankle knocks him down a few pegs. Can we trust Dak Prescott, now that Jason Garrett’s grubby little fingers are ruining Kellen Moore’s play sheet? Jacoby Brissett and Gardner Minshew II find their way in the back-end of the QB1 ranks.

Byes: Panthers, Browns, Steelers, and Buccaneers

Week 7 Quarterback Rankings

Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s
Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High Floor/High Ceiling QB1s
1 Russell Wilson SEA BAL Baltimore's pass defense can't stop anything and Lamar Jackson will return Wilson-scores with scores of his own.
2 Deshaun Watson HOU at IND Indy's did a good job corralling Patrick Mahomes, however, at least some of that had to do with Mahomes reinjuring his ankle in back-to-back weeks.
3 Lamar Jackson BAL at SEA Jackson can easily finish as the overall QB1 against Seattle's lackluster secondary.
4 Kyler Murray ARI at NYG Murray's touchdown regression is upon us and his rushing floor has been established.
5 Patrick Mahomes KC at DEN Mahomes has repeatedly reinjured his ankle in back-to-back games and if significantly impacting his performance. He's still at Top 5 option though.
6 Matt Ryan ATL LAR The Rams' pass defense was bad before they had to put Aqib Talib on IR. Mr. 300 will do it again.
7 Josh Allen BUF MIA Allen's errant passing tendencies keep him outside of the Top 3. Against Miami, his ceiling is the overal QB1 though.
8 Carson Wentz PHI at DAL Wentz should have no issuse maintaining his mid-to-low QB1 season against Dallas.
9 Tom Brady NE at NYJ The return of Sam Darnold made Jets' offense looks peppy enough that Brady should have to keep throwing for 3 or so quarters.
10 Dak Prescott DAL PHI On twitter, Evan Silva captioned a Cowboys Stats and Action table with a Tony Romo quote, nearly confirming our biggest fears: Jason Garrett has wrestled back some of the game planning/play calling control. The matchup is great though. The tweet link can be found at the bottom of the page.
11 Jacoby Brissett IND HOU Houston's pass defense has been carved up in recent weeks. Brissett's rushing floor will pay dividends as well.
12 Gardner Minshew II JAX at CIN A date with Cincy brings Minshew the best matchup of his young career.
High Floor/High Ceiling QB2s
13 Jared Goff LAR at ATL Atlanta owns fantasy's most QB-friendly pass defense.
14 Aaron Rodgers GB OAK Aaron Rodgers' looks like he's in peak form and now he gets to toy with the Raiders defense.
15 Daniel Jones NYG ARI Danny Dimes may find himself in the Top 12 at the end of the week, once full practice reports are out and maximum information has been gathered. This is an excellent spot for him.
High Floor/Capped Ceiling QB2s
16 Kirk Cousins MIN at DET Cousins will come back to Earth a bit this week. It's a decent enough matchup for him though.
17 Jimmy Garoppolo SF at WAS A date with Washington is a date with fortune!
18 Matthew Stafford DET MIN A tough matchup but he should be provided with ample scoring opportunity.
19 Sam Darnold NYJ NE The kid looked great last week. New England's defense is playing at a historically strong level though.
20 Philip Rivers LAC at TEN The matchup is unimposing. However, the return of Melvin Gordon III has lead to donkey-style play calling, inhibiting the entire offense's ability to produce.
21 Andy Dalton CIN JAX Dalton should nickel and dime his way to middling QB2 production against Jacksonville's underwhelming defense.
22 Joe Flacco DEN KC KC's pass defense has been largely unimposing.
23 Derek Carr OAK at GB Not a recommended start in this matchup.
24 Teddy Bridgewater NO at CHI Brutal matchup.
Shaky Floor/Low Ceiling QB3s
25 Case Keenum WAS SF San Fran's defensive front is a game wrecker.
26 Ryan Tannehill TEN LAC Mariota might not even be the starter this week.
27 Mitchell Trubisky CHI NO New Orleans' defense has been pummeling opposing QBs.
28 Ryan Fitzpatrick MIA at BUF Brutal matchup.
