Welcome to the Ding Dong Challenge, a game were we try and correctly predict who will hit the most home runs in a given week, keep score throughout the entire season and win a free, awesome t-shirt. Here’s last week’s report card and this week’s list of “elites”. If you want to play, just pick one player from the “elites” and two players from the “everyone else” category (which is just everyone who’s not elite), then list your team in the comments. The sooner you create your team, the better as you only get the homers from when your team is posted till the end of the week.

ALL HAIL CHRISTIAN YELICH! I added him on a whim this week and he panned out beautifully! Khrush Davis decided to take the week off knocking only one dinger this week and the Mayor decided since it was a long weekend, he didn’t need to work either. Well Yelich is the one true king, he cares about your Ding Dong squad and he’ll knock dingers until you’ve got what it takes to take home the win! (Or tie in this case, DAMN YOU MARK!)

I feel like there’s a massive Mike Trout week coming but it was not this one. Worry not Trouters, I think the week will soon be upon us where Trout goes yard five times and everyone is politely reminded that he’s really good at baseball. Meanwhile, when was the last time Freddie Freeman did anything dong worthy? I feel like he’s been a popular Everyone Else but I’m not so sure when the last time he actually did anything was.

Here’s your perfect lineup for this week:

Elite: Mookie Betts (2)
Everyone Else 1: Christian Yelich (4)
Everyone Else 2: Jake Cave (4)

Not a great week for the Elites...
