ICYMI: All Brackets are Busted

After one weekend we are already out two 1 seeds and two 2 seeds

NCAA Basketball: NCAA Tournament-Second Round- Michigan State Spartans vs Syracuse Orange Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports

March Madness

-We had our first #16 over a #1 as the University of Maryland Baltimore County beat the University of Virginia by 20 points.

-For the first time since seeding began in 1979, a region will not have a #1-#4 seed in the Sweet Sixteen.

- #1 Xavier was ousted by Florida State, #2 UNC by Texas A&M and #2 Cincinnati by Nevada.

NHL

We are about 8-9 games out from the end of the regular season. The East looks close to set barring a strong final push from the Florida Panthers.

The West is a free for all with the Calgary Flames, St. Louis Blues, Dallas Stars, LA Kings, Colorado Avalance and Anaheim Ducks all within 6 points vying for a handful of wildcard spots.

Boone Jenner (18% owned) has 4 goals, 6 points a +8, and 29 faceoffs won in the last two weeks. The Blue Jackets are fighting to hold their playoff spot.

NBA

Dillon Brooks (27% owned) has been a good late season filler lately averaging 10 points, 3 rebounds, 1.4 assists and .8 steals over the last 2 weeks. He has scored at least 15 points in each of his last 8 games to go with at least 2 three-pointers in 7 of those 8 games.

NASCAR

Kevin Harvick came down the straightaway trying to get some side drifting from Kyle Larson but he got too close, bumped into him and was knocked out of a chance at a fourpeat. Martin Truex Jr. came through with his first win of 2018.

Golf

The Golf gods that be must be elated with the recent win by Rory McIlroy at the Arnold Palmer Invational. This means we are two weeks out from the Masters with very strong play from Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Justin Thomas. Oh and Dustin Johnson is still #1 in FedEx Cup ranking and OWGR to go along with Jordan Spieth who is 4th in OWGR. I could go on about Patton Kizzire, Jon Rahm, Brendan Steele, Paul Casey etc.. but I’ll leave it at the aforementioned 5.

MLB

Jose Pirela is still hitting everything in site; Miguel Andujar cooled off a bit but looks to have a starting spot come Opening Day; my attention is starting to move to Ian Happ (5Hrs, .343 avg) and Jason Kipnis (6HRs, .474 avg) as potential mid to late draft sleepers.

NFL

Free Agency began and it was a frenzy. We saw some QBs (Sam Bradford, Kirk Cousins) move some WRs (Jordy Nelson, Michael Crabtree) and some RBs (Jerrick MacKinnon, Carlos Hyde).

Pete, Clark and Jordan also gave a rundown on the most recent RB1 Podcast:

English Premier League

Mohamad Salah Ghaly leads EPL in goals with 4 goals over Watford this weekend.

Major League Soccer

Josef Martinez scored a hat trick for Atlanta United against Vancouver this weekend as he now leads MLS in goals
