Yesterday we kicked off First Base Week with Brian’s state of the position and Part 1 of our first base rankings. Today it is time for Part 2 and the unveiling of our mystery No. 16 first baseman. Drumroll for...Ryan Zimmerman!
Hey, Zimmerman made a lot of hard contact last year (40.4%) and plays in a loaded Washington Nationals lineup. If the 33-year-old doesn’t interest you, that is okay. It makes sense to be torn on many of these players. As we said yesterday, after the top six are off the board things starts to get dicey.
Without much more ado, here are our 16-30 first basemen for 2018. It is an infinite sadness of mine that my Mitch Moreland propaganda has not encouraged my brethren here at Fake Teams to take him more seriously. They will rue this day.

Stay tuned for coverage of our first staff mock draft of the year! Who likes pairing Giancarlo Stanton with Anthony Rizzo? I do! Also, we’ll have Brian’s tiered rankings analysis out tomorrow morning. In the meantime, make sure to check out Eddy Almaguer’s “three-tier” piece that dropped this morning.
We are all up in some first base week action—don’t miss out!
