Fantasy Football Rankings: Tight Ends for Week 14

I won’t bore you with empty congratulations on making your fantasy football league playoffs. Undoubtedly, some of you missed the cut (like I did in more leagues than I care to admit). You can’t win ‘em all, after all. And for those who are struggling, maybe the reason is whiffing on Rob Gronkowski or Trey Burton. If that’s you, I want you to know that I share in your pain.

There’s a top seven at tight end right now, in my opinion. Obviously Kelce and Ertz are in a tier of their own, with Ebron and Gronk right behind. Kittle, too—though he’s the only one in the upper echelon where we worry about his QB some. I think that factors in, personally. Then it’s Jared Cook as the man in Oakland and David Njoku benefiting from finally being healthy and having new offensive coordinator Freddie Kitchens call the shots.

After that it’s dicey. You’re chasing touchdowns (Brate) or hoping volume pans out (Reed). Hey, at least we have Jaylen Samuels this week, right? I’ll be ranking him with tight ends since he carries that eligibility. If that’s upsetting to you, I hope you don’t play on a site where he has that eligibility. I won’t debate the merits of that here, but since people need to know how to rank him I’ll be doing so...
