Fantasy Football Rankings: Wide receivers for Week 14

The time has come. The fantasy football playoffs have arrived. All of your hard work has paid off to this point in the season. It’s officially a whole new ballgame, and just about anything can happen over the next three weeks. Don’t be scared to take a calculated risk on a waiver pickup that is relatively unknown but will get plenty of opportunities due to injuries to other players on his team. Do be scared of trotting out the underachievers of the world, taking a five-point outcome in stride just because of where you drafted them back in August.

It’s important to not overthink decisions during the fantasy playoffs, but you also can’t employ a “start your studs” strategy that usually involves penciling “big names” into your lineups despite their recent performances. Just this week, I dropped both Alshon Jeffery and Doug Baldwin in separate leagues, picking up Dante Pettis and Chris Godwin in the process, respectively. Godwin may not be available in most leagues, but Pettis is widely available and so are other young WRs who are outperforming and out-targeting more known players.

Hopefully, you have Davante Adams or Antonio Brown or Todd Gurley. Then your fringe decisions won’t matter all that much as you fight for a championship. Good luck to all of you!
