Fantasy Hockey Forecaster: November 19th–November 25th

As if Toronto needed any help, they have an easy pass this week.

Welcome to this week’s Fantasy Hockey Forecaster! In here, you’ll find:

  • Each team’s ranking for goalies, forwards, PK and PP against the other teams in the league. These stats are as of 10/23.
  • Three players who are on fire (this might not even be points wise, it might be an uptick in play that signals to me they are on the cusp of some point production
  • Three players who are cooling off (this will also include players that aren’t materializing the way we expect)
  • Three free agent pickups (among all players under 50% owned, preferably some in the single digits and some that are close to 50 to feed all different sizes of leagues)
  • The schedule which will show each team they play and what the individual rankings are for each matchup, this is more useful in the daily leagues where you are looking at individual matchups
  • Let’s begin!

3 players who are on fire

  1. Mikko Koivu (19% owned) since I highlighted him last week as a free agent pick up he had five points in the next three game so uh..patting myself on the back there.
  2. Mark Stone (80% owned) Five goal and seven assists over the last two weeks.
  3. Frederik Andersen (99% owned) 5-0 in his last five games allowing 6 goals (1.2 GAA) during that time + one shutout.

3 players who are cooling off

  1. Victor Hedman (99% owned) One goal since coming back 3 games ago isn’t too bad but a -4 with just 2 hits and 2 BS over that time isn’t great.
  2. Erik Karlsson (100% owned) until he has a halfway decent week, he stays on this list.
  3. Andrei Vasilevskiy (100% owned) I highlight him because he will miss an extended period of time, as one of the best goalies, this one hurts. Pick up Louis Domingue

3 free agent pickups (under 50%)

  1. Kevin Hayes (10% owned) Sitting on the Rangers second line with Chris Kreider and Vladislav Namestnikov is not a bad spot to be. One goal and six assists in his last six games to go with a power play point and 57 faceoffs won.
  2. Dustin Brown (35% owned). On the top line with Alex Iafallo and Anze Kopitar, he will be streaky but he has 2 goals and 2 assists in his last five games but he will add the intangibles: 2 short handed points, +1 and 11 hits.
  3. Travis Zajac (9%) Sitting on the Devils top line with Taylor Hall and Kyle Palmieri, being with an MVP always bodes well. Six points in his last six games
