Here are my running back rankings for Week 11. Get ready, DJ is back!
RB rankings - Week 11
Rank | Running Back | Team | Opponent | High-Floor/High-Ceiling RB1s |
---|---|---|---|---|
Rank | Running Back | Team | Opponent | High-Floor/High-Ceiling RB1s |
| Todd Gurley II | LAR | KC | The Game of Games. |
| David Johnson | ARI | OAK | Byron Leftwich is the M-Fin' Man. 200 total yards against Oakland isn't out of the question. |
| Melvin Gordon III | LAC | DEN | Denver can't stop the run. Melvin's gonna eat. |
| Ezekiel Elliot | DAL | at ATL | He'll drop a couple spots if Deion Jones is indeed returning this week. |
| Kareem Hunt | KC | at LAR | Todd Gurley's counterpiece in The Game of Games. |
| Alvin Kamara | NO | PHI | Tough matchup but Kamara is an every-week RB1. |
| Christian McCaffrey | CAR | at DET | 7 TDs in the last 3 games. As long as they don't run him directly at Snacks, it'll be another smoke show. |
| Saquon Barkley | NYG | TB | Gonna be Dump-off City. |
| Leonard Fournette | JAX | PIT | Fournette and his high-volume 2.2 YPC workload gets a Steelers defense that was pummeled by CMC for 3 TDs last week. |
| James Conner | PIT | at JAX | This is Conner's team now. |
| Marlon Mack | IND | TEN | Look for the Colts O Line to keep up their bulldozing ways even in a tough matchup. |
| Aaron Jones | GB | at SEA | The electric playmaker has been given the keys to the offense and Seattle's been hemorrhaging points to bellcows as of late. |
High-Floor/High-Ceiling RB2s | ||||
| Joe Mixon | CIN | at BAL | Baltimore's been blasted by CMC and James Conner in back to back games. Look for Mixon to grind out some high-quality fantasy goodness. |
| Dalvin Cook | MIN | at CHI | It's a tough spot but Cook should be featured as a pass rush-neutralizer/ball-carrier. |
| Phillip Lindsay | DEN | at LAC | Denver will ride their most talented player in a divisional must-win game. |
| Dion Lewis | TEN | at IND | The featured Titans back will put up points against the paltry Indy run D. |
| Tarik Cohen | CHI | MIN | Cohen will be integral in this week's game plan and Chicago's offense is humming. |
| Tevin Coleman | ATL | DAL | It's a tough matchup but Coleman's playing at a high-level with high-volume, both through the air and on the ground. |
| Alex Collins | BAL | CIN | It's been a while since Collins found himself in this category but the Cincy D is just that bad and a switch to Lamar Jackson would immediately pay dividends for the Ravens run game. |
High-Floor/Capped-Ceiling RB2s | ||||
| Kerryon Johnson | DET | CAR | On paper, Carolina is a top-tier run defense. Examining the RBs they've stiffled though, shows us a different story. Talented backs have been able to put up points against the Panthers. |
| Lamar Miller | HOU | at WAS | WAS's vaunted D Line has stumbled in recent weeks. Miller should post a decent, if modest stat line against them in Week 11. |
| Chris Carson | SEA | GB | If he can go, Carson should find room to run against Green Bay's weak and battered defensive front. |
| Adrian Peterson | WAS | HOU | Volume will keep him afloat but this could get ugly. WAS's O Line is in the hospitcal and that Texans front is scary. |
| Jordan Howard | CHI | MIN | He'll likely see low double-digit touches which gives him a chance to score. |
The Low-Floor/High-Ceiling RB3 | ||||
| Josh Adams | PHI | at NO | The rookie RB is the best back in Philly. It's a tough matchup but this could be the week he turns the corner. |
Low-Floor/Capped-Ceiling RB3s | ||||
| Mark Ingram | NO | PHI | Philly plays shut-down run defense and has an injury-plagued secondary, which funnels opposing offensive production into the passing game. This is not a great spot for a No. 2 RB. |
| Peyton Barber | TB | at NYG | He's the bellcow in a plus matchup. |
| Doug Martin | OAK | at ARI | He's the bellcow in a plus matchup. |
| Derrick Henry | TEN | at IND | Although Dion Lewis is operating as the featured back, Henry has been used effectively in the redzone over the last 3 weeks. He's got a decent shot at finding the endzone this week in a good matchup. |
| Austin Ekeler | LAC | DEN | He had a 40+ yard TD called back last week. Don't give up on your funnest, deep flex option in a good matchup. |
| Rashaad Penny | SEA | GB | Penny blew up last week. That's the excuse Carroll's been looking for to get him more time. |
| Chris Thompson | WAS | HOU | If he can go… |
| Ito Smith | ATL | DAL | One of the better No. 2 RBs out there. |
| Latavius Murray | MIN | at CHI | Murray will retain some sort of redzone role even with Dalvin Cook's return. |
| Nyheim Hines | IND | TEN | Tennessee should be able to move the ball, which will help keep Indy passing. |
| Jalen Richard | OAK | at ARI | The passing-game back will get second-half looks as the Raiders try to keep up with David Johnson's touchdowns. |
