QB ranks - Week 8

Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High-Floor/High-Ceiling QB1s
Rank Quarterback Team Opponent High-Floor/High-Ceiling QB1s
Patrick Mahomes KC DEN Denver's defense played well against Steve Wilks' juco offense last week. The Chiefs are a different kind of beast.
Aaron Rodgers GB at LAR The Rams secondary is in for a long day.
Jared Goff LAR GB Green Bay's sporting a vulnerable defense and the McVay QB will always put up points.
Andrew Luck IND at OAK Luck's playing out of his mind. This week he gets Oakland's sloth defense.
Drew Brees NO at MIN Brees has had an up and down fantasy season thus far, but he and Michael Thomas should connect early and often via the slot.
Kirk Cousins MIN NO Cousins is toeing the improbable-to-impossible dime-throwing line.
Tom Brady NE at BUF BUF is strong against the pass but James White will be used through the air as an extension of the run game. He'll easily exploit the Bills' vulnerable run defense.
Ben Roethlisberger PIT CLE Home Ben.
Jameis Winston TB at CIN Winston and his stellar pass-catching group should flame the Cincy secondary.
Andy Dalton CIN TB It's tough to trust him after last week's dud, but Tampa Bay's defense is just that bad.
Baker Mayfield CLE at PIT Cleveland will likely be playing catchup against a vulnerable Pittsburgh secondary.
Mitchell Trubisky CHI NYJ It's ugly, but he's getting it done. Rushing-floor QBs put up points, no matter what.
High-Floor/High-Ceiling QB2s
Matthew Stafford DET SEA Golden Tate revenge game.
High-Floor/Capped-Ceiling QB2s
Cam Newton CAR BAL Cam's playmaking ability will be needed against the devastating Baltimore defense.
Russell Wilson SEA at DET Wilson's point-total will likely rely on his ability to audible out of Pete Carroll's gameplan against a beatable Detroit defense.
Deshaun Watson HOU MIA Playing on a short week. Playing with a partially-collapsed lung. Watson will need his playmakers to be on their A-game.
Carson Wentz PHI at JAX Jacksonville's been off their game as of late -- and Wentz has been on his.
Joe Flacco BAL at CAR Carolina's defense has been somewhat charitable to opposing signal callers since their Week 4 bye.
C.J. Beathard SF at ARI Beathard's athletecism and surrounding playmakers should be enough to compensate for Arizona's above-average pass rush.
Lower-Floor/Capped-Ceiling QB2s
Case Keenum DEN at KC Keenum is tough to trust but the KC D is typically one to target.
Derek Carr OAK IND Indy's defense has flashed at times but Carr just lost his No. 1 WR.
Alex Smith WAS at NYG Smith's had a rocky season but this is the Giants D -- and they just traded away Eli Apple.
Josh Rosen ARI SF There's reason for optimism with new OC Byron Leftwich at the helm.
Blake Bortles JAX PHI His running ability elevates him above the rest of the bottom-dwellers.
QB3s
Brock Osweiler MIA at HOU Facing Houston's slow secondary, Osweiller leads the QB3s with a handful of speedy playmakers at his disposal.
Sam Darnold NYJ at CHI This will be a stiff challenge. Best to shy away.
Eli Manning NYG WAS Hopefully Odell can house a couple slants.
Derek Anderson BUF NE It's Derek Anderson.
