Here is every prospect drafted in the Rotowire Dynasty Invitational

Exactly 297 prospects were taken in the RDI by industry experts who obsess over minor leaguers. From obvious names to hidden gems, this gives you a leg up in dynasty leagues.

One of the fun parts about startup dynasty leagues that mix MLB and MiLB players is deciding when a prospect’s value supersedes that of a major leaguers. Should you be taking David Price or Luis Robert? Fernando Tatis Jr. or Aaron Nola? In the Rotowire Dynasty Invitational, every manager was faced with these decisions at one point or another.

I compiled all 297 prospects drafted to give you a sense of how the people you read for prospects are valuing them at the moment. We’re at the time of the year when dynasty drafts are getting going and this is a good resource to refer to when you might need a tiebreaker or need some really deep names to pick up as a lottery ticket.

How to use this list

This is not a straight ranking of prospects. First, open the RDI Snake Draft results. If you see a prospect being taken way too high (Ex: Tyler Mahle 67th prospect taken), then refer to the sheet. We see that Matt Modica drafted a win-now team and Mahle already has big-league experience. On the flip side, Tom Trudeau and Greg Wellemeyer were responsible for 10 of the first 29 prospects drafted, so this skews the list toward their high-ceiling bat preferences.

One final note: I’m using 130 AB or 50 IP as the rookie requirement and ignoring MLB service time.

All right, on to the list.

If you have questions about a prospect you’ve never heard of, feel free to reach out to me @EddyAlmaguer or the manager that drafted them (Twitter handles to the left side of the RDI draft sheet). And if you want to see how my entire team came out along with blurbs on every prospect I drafted and why, then head here to my big recap.
