After three races the field drops down to 12, after the next 3 it goes down to 8, after the next three it goes down to 4 with the final race being the Ford EcoBoost 400.

What: ISM Connect 300

When: September 24th

Where: New Hampshire Motor Speedway

2016 Winner: Kevin Harvick

Track: New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Built in 1989, this 1 mile oval speedway consists of Asphalt and Granite. It holds 88,000 seats and has banks of 12 degrees on the turns. It is about as basic and straightforward of a coarse as you can get on the circuit.

A Driver.

Denny Hamlin. I was so close to picking Martin Truex Jr. but that’s ok Denny finished 4th. I’m doubling down on Denny who finished 1st at New Hampshire earlier this year and now has 5 consecutive top 5 finishes. He is making a continued strong playoff push.

B Drivers.

Kurt Busch. 5th here last year and 8th here earlier this year not to mention prior to Chicagoland, Kurt had three consecutive top 5 finishes going into the final push towards the playoffs.

Kyle Larson. 2nd here earlier this year and he’s off back to back top 5 finishes now. He finished 10th here last year and he’s right on Martin Truex Jr’s heels for top spot.

C Driver.

Daniel Suarez. He finished 6th here earlier this year and is off back to back top 15 finishes. Despite Erik Jones and Daniel Suarez missing the playoffs they appear ready to keep fighting through the remainder of the races and I anticipate them both being top 10 racers next year.

Dark Horse.

Danica Patrick. 13th here earlier this year and 17th here last year, this track might well be Danica’s best racing venue.

Year to date stats:

A Drivers: Avg Finish 13th (35th percentile)

B Drivers: Avg Finish 15th (41st percentile)

C Drivers: Avg Finish 18th (49th percentile)

Dark Horse Drivers: Avg Finish 19th (53rd percentile)
