  • Avisail Garcia and the White Sox put up 17 runs in a win over the Tigers. Garcia was among many Chicago players with a big day. He went 5 for 5 with a 3-run HR. Garcia would finish with 2 runs and 7 RBI. Garcia is hitting .333 on the season with 17 HR and 77 RBI. Yoan Moncada also had a big day. Moncada went 4 for 5 with a solo home run and a steal. He reached base 6 times in the game and scored 5 runs. Moncada is hitting .333 with 2 HR 1 SB and 9 runs this month.
  • Drew Pomeranz was solid in a win over the Athletics. The Red Sox starter went 6 innings allowing 5 hits and 1 run while striking out 5. Pomeranz is now 16-5 on the year with a 3.28 ERA. Andrew Benintendi went 3 for 4 with 2 double and 3 RBI. Benintendi is hitting .280 with 19 HR and 83 RBI on the season.
  • Luke Weaver continues to impress with another quality start over the Reds. The Cardinals starter pitched 6 innings allowing just 2 hits and 1 unearned run. He had 6 Ks in the win. Weaver is now 6-1 with a 1.89 ERA and 1.03 WHIP this season. Tommy Pham, who had been dealing with vision issues, looked good on Thursday. Pham went 2 for 4 with a double, a 2-run HR, and 2 steals. This gives him 20 HR and 21 SB on the season. Pham is now the 5th member (1st in the NL) of the 2017 20/20 club. He joins Mike Trout, Jose Altuve, Mookie Betts, and Elvis Andrus.
  • Zack Godley led a Diamondbacks shutout of the Rockies. Godley went 8 scoreless innings allowing 5 hits while striking out 7. He now owns a 3.00 ERA and 1.08 WHIP on the year. J.D. Martinez was 2 for 4 with a solo HR. Martinez has 39 HR on the season, 23 HR since joining the Diamondbacks, and 10 HR in September alone.
  • Aaron Judge had a pair of home runs in a Yankees win over the Orioles. He would finish 3 for 4 on the day with 3 runs and 6 RBI. Judge now has 43 HR 96 RBI and 112 runs on the season. Masahiro Tanaka went 7 innings allowing 2 runs in the win. He had 8 Ks in the outing. Tanaka is 12-11 on the year with a 4.73 ERA.
