Golf DFS World Golf Championships: Bridgestone Invitational

Dustin Johnson seems like an obvious pick and he is.

Erich Schlegel-USA TODAY Sports

World Golf Championship: Bridgestone Invitational
Firestone Country Club: South Course
August 3rd -6th

The format:
Three Premium Priced picks ($8,000+)
One Mid-tier Priced picks ($6,000- $8,000)
Two Bargain Basement picks ($6,000-)
My final two picks are: Adam Scott (14 PGA events this year he has -€” 8 top ten finishes and 2 missed cuts and Brooks Koepka

Pricey Picks ($8,000+)
Dustin Johnson ($9,700)
Rickie Fowler ($9,000)
Dustin won both of the last World Golf Championships. There is some mad wizardry that has Rickie playing the way he is this year with only 1 win. He has two 2nd place finishes, three 3rd place finishes, one 4th, one 5th and one 6th. Last two World Golf Championships this year: 16th and 6th place.

Mid-Tier Pick ($6,000-$8,000):
Phil Mickelson ($6,600)
Marc Leishman ($6,500)
Phil has a 7th place and 5th place finish in the last two World Golf Championships. Prior to the missed cut at the Open he had three straight top 25 finishes. He finished 27th here last year. Marc has back to back top ten finishes and he has a 9th place finish at the last World Golf Championship. Both of these candidates have been averaging over 72 FPPG which isn't bad at all.

Bargain Picks ($6,000-):
Kyle Stanley ($5,000)
Bill Haas ($5,800)
I highlighted Kyle in my last article. He's in the top 10 in strokes gained off the tee, approaching the green and tee to green. This seems like a steal to me for the cost, but then again, in a world golf championship, most players will be really good. Bill has top 25 finishes in 6 of his last 8 tournaments. 10th in strokes gained around the green and 26th in strokes gained tee to green. 38th here last year and 25th in 2015.

Average Stats
(I can't go based on scores, each tournament is different contingent on how many birdies occur so I will go on finishing position which is mostly close to how well they did.)
Pricey Picks: 48th (32nd percentile)
Mid-Tier Picks: 49th (33rd percentile)
Bargain Picks: 64th (43rd percentile)
