Fantasy Auto Racing: Overton 400

Ryan Blaney has 3 consecutive top 15 finishes at the Poconco

Matthew O'Haren-USA TODAY Sports

What: Overton 400
When: July 30th
Where: Long Pond, PA
2016 Winner: Chris Buescher

Track: Pocono Raceway.  Back at the Pocono again! Opened in 1971 the "Tricky Triangle"  asphalt track has a 14 degree banking on turn one, 8 degree on turn 2 and 6 degree on turn 3.

A Driver.
Brad Keslowski. 2nd place finish at the Brickyard and he comes to Pennsylvania where he has seven top 10 finishes and six top 5 finishes. Brad's racing has really impressed me over the last 2 months. Accidents have derailed him in some starts but excluding those he's had top ten finishes in all but one race. So...accident or top 10 finish. He finished 5th earlier this year at the Pocono.

B Drivers.
Kurt Busch. Seven top 10 finishes at Long Pond. I'm hoping he steps out of his recent funk where 3 of his last 4 starts were finishes outside the top 25. It can't sustain for long, he'll bounce back with a great finish one of the next 2-3 races and I think this is the one.

Ryan Blaney. Won here earlier this year, he finished 10th and 11th here last year. The Tricky Triangle is Blaney's for the taking.

C Driver.
Erik Jones. I only have 3 starts with him left but he was a top 5 finish here last year so I'll bank on a repeat performance from the elite rookie.

Dark Horse.
Chris Buescher. Yes he's outside of C group but if you want a Dark Horse there, it's in this order: Daniel Suarez, Ty Dillon then David Ragan. I want to highlight Chris who has a 15th place finish here and has top 20 finishes in 4 of his last 5 races capped off by a very well-articulated 9th place finish at the Brickyard (not to mention a win here last year)

Year to date stats:
A Drivers: Avg Finish 15th (41st percentile)
B Drivers: Avg Finish 13th (37th percentile)
C Drivers: Avg Finish 16th (43th percentile)
Dark Horse Drivers: Avg Finish 21st (59th percentile)
