FanDuel John Deere Classic
TPC Deere Run
July 13th - 16th
The format:
Two Premium Priced picks
Two Mid-tier Priced picks
Two Bargain Basement picks.
My final two picks are Trey Mullinax (a rookie out of Alabama who I've been keeping my eye on since the St. Jude Classic) and Brian Harman.
Pricey Picks ($8,000+)
Ryan Moore ($9,400)
Danny Lee ($9,200)
Ryan Moore is fresh of a win here last year. He's also off a 24th place finish in 2015 here, a 7th place finish in 2014 and has rested for over a month now. Last time he took over a month to rest he finished 3rd in his first tournament back. Danny Lee has 3 consecutive top 25 finishes and now he comes to TPC Deere Run where he finished 3rd in 2015.
Mid-Tier Picks ($6,000-$8,000):
Jamie Lovemark ($7,900)
David Hearn ($6,700)
Jamie now has 4 top 30 finishes in his last 5 tournaments. He finished 34th here last year and he's 3rd on the tour in eagles (big point bump there) and he's top 50 in birdie or better percentage. David Hearn has 4 top 15 finishes over his last 4 tournaments. His history at John Deere is so/so with 67th and 45th place finishes over his last 2 plays here.
Bargain Picks ($6,000-):
Johnson Wagner ($5,600)
Sebastian Munoz ($5,600)
Ever since the year after the infamous ‘stache, I have not trusted Johnson Wagner...until now. 3 starts at John Deere Classic with 3 top 10 finishes for a sub $6,000 cost, no brainer. Sebastian is fresh of a 3rd place finish at Greenbrier Classic, he's 63rd on the tour in birdie average and he's now made 4 consecutive cuts.
