It’s Friday and while that means the weekend is just around the corner, it also means that most everyone’s afternoon is spent staring at the clock just waiting for work to get out. So, I decided to help distract you from the monotonous tick tick of the clock and from that mound of work on your desk. You’re welcome!
After perusing my team last year and re-reading the transaction report as I’m want to do, I couldn’t help but realize that much of my team’s success last year was due to a waiver wire add. Yes—as I’ve mentioned plenty of times—my team was carried by Ezekiel Elliott but there is an underrated member of Coby Wan Kenobi who helped this team become a champion.
He’s name was Jordan Howard.
Yes, I snagged Howard off of waiver wires pretty soon after the draft in large part because Todd Gurley just was not living up to the hype that I had created for him in my head. So I needed a running back to kind of take his spot and snagging Howard was easily the best waiver wire transaction I made that year and possibly of all time. He was terrific for me scoring double digit points from Week 12 onward and certainly gave my roster the boost it needed.
So, after sitting through that story, who’s been your best waiver wire add? Leave your add in the comments or—if you want to tell us more and paint a verbal picture for us—write a FanPost and we’ll make sure to share it!
Hopefully this will be able to distract you for the final moments of the week.
Happy weekends!
