  • Mike Trout was 2 for 3 with a home run, a stolen base, and 3 RBI in an Angels 12-5 win over the Mets. The consensus #1 overall pick now has 14 HR 34 RBI 31 R 9 SB .350 AVG on the year. Jay Bruce had a 3-run HR in the loss. This gives him 11 HR and 30 RBI on the season.
  • Clayton Richard tossed a complete game 5 hitter as the Padres won 5-1 over the Diamondbacks. He allowed just the 1 run while striking out 6. Ryan Schimpf hit his 10th HR in the win. He’s a good source of power in deep leagues and NL only but comes with a big negative of batting average. He’s batting just .165 on the year.
  • Brandon McCarthy pitched well as the Dodgers won 6-3 over the Marlins. McCarthy went 6 innings allowing 3 hits and 1 runs while striking out 5. Yasmani Grandal was 3 for 4 with 2 runs scored. Joc Pederson hit his 1st HR since Opening Day.
  • Derek Holland had a great start in a White Sox 8-1 win over the Mariners. Holland went 8 innings allowing just 1 runs and getting 6 Ks. The lone run came on a 7th inning Nelson Cruz HR. Holland has been very solid this season. He now has a 2.47 ERA and 1.17 WHIP on the year.
  • Kris Bryant was 3 for 3 with 2 solo shots in a Cubs 13-6 victory over the Brewers. Bryant scored 4 times as well. He has a .303 AVG with 10 HR and 30 runs scored on the year. Jake Arrieta went 6 innings with 6 Ks in the win. The only run allowed was unearned. Travis Shaw hit his 9th HR of the year and Jonathan Villar stole his 9th base of the season in the loss.
