MLB DFS Picks for Saturday, 5/20/17

Pitcher to Target: Antonio Senzatela vs. Cincinnati Reds ($7200)

Senzatela has started his rookie campaign off to a hot start by posting a 3.31 ERA. Senzatela produces a good amount of ground balls, but batters have only hit 25.8% of balls with hard contact against him. This will make for a good match-up against a team like the Reds, who are ranked 16th in the majors this year in home runs against right-handed pitchers with 36. I would not expect many strikeouts to come against the Reds however, as batters’ switching strike rate against Senzatela is at a low 5.8%. Even without the strikeouts, Senzatela should come out of the game with a W and a quality start against the Reds this Sunday.

Pitcher to Stack Against: Mike Fiers vs. Cleveland Indians ($7000)

Fiers has been off to a terrible start this year, mostly to due with his 4.00 HR/9 he has this season. The Indians have not been as good as some people would like, but with Kipnis back in their lineup they should see some more production offensively. Their .756 OPS is the 6th best in the American League this year, and they will look to improve that number Saturday against a pitcher who has been giving up a lot of hard contact this season.
