On February 28th, Warriors superstar Kevin Durant went down with a sprained MCL and bruised tibia. He’s missed the last 17 games while recovering.
Golden State hoped to get him back for a few regular season outings, and it looks like they’re going to. ESPN’s Mark Stein reported that KD is eyeing a comeback Saturday at home against the Pelicans.
Story going online now: Golden State is targeting Saturday's home date with New Orleans for Kevin Durant's return, league sources say.

That would give Durant three games to ease back into action before the playoffs begin: New Orleans on Saturday, Utah on Monday, and the Lakers on Wednesday.
KD’s 2016-17 numbers: 25.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, 4.8 assists, 1.6 blocks, 1.1 steals, and 1.9 3PM, shooting 54% from the field and 88% from the line. Not bad.
It’ll be interesting to see how his return impacts players like Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andre Iguodala, who have been on a tear lately.
How do you think KD’s return will influence the production from others? Will Durant take a step back since guys like Curry (averaging 31.8 points in his last four games) have been so insanely hot? Let me know in the comments.
