Pitcher To Start

Michael Fulmer vs Chicago White Sox (Fan Duel $9200)

2017: 25.0 IP, 2.88 ERA. 8.28 K/9, 2.16 BB/9, 1.08 HR/9, 1.50 GB/FB

Fulmer has been very solid this year and has proven his 2016 was no fluke. He has held hitters to a slash line of .198/.263/.319 in 2017. He is facing the White Sox today who have hit .267/.333/.367 over 32 plate appearances. He has also been very good against opponents at his home park. Opponents have been held to .225/.289/.341 when he makes his starts at Comerica. His ability to strikeout batters added with great command makes Fulmer a favorite for his match-up today.

Pitcher To Stack Against

Ubaldo Jimenez vs. New York Yankees

2017: 19.2 IP, 5.95 ERA, 5.49 K/9, 5.49 BB/9, 1.83 HR/9, 1.13 GB/FB

Active Yankees hitters have hit .328/.414/.504 against Jimenez over 139 plate appearances. Jimenez has been far from his 2010 self the past 5 years, and maybe the most unreliable starter in the major leagues at the moment. The Yankees have hit .257/.372/.396 against Jimenez over his career at Yankee Stadium which actually is not that bad. Over 2015 and 2014 however, the Yankees have hit .300/.364/.525 and .28/.432/.373 against Jimenez. He has a 1.00 K/BB and a 1.83 HR/9 so far this year, so if this trend continues then Jimenez maybe getting an early dismissal today.
