Fantasy Football Rankings: Wide Receivers in Week 16

Ranking the best wide receivers by matchup and opportunity for Week 16.

NFL: Los Angeles Rams at Minnesota Vikings Brace Hemmelgarn-USA TODAY Sports

Last week was not kind to the wide receiver position, and it could not have come at a worse time.

The no. 1 overall receiver in fantasy football, Antonio Brown, got injured mid-game and finished with just two catches for 24 yards. Jordy Nelson, expected to be reignited with Aaron Rodgers back under center, looked as washed-up as ever, recording a measly three catches for 28 yards.

The most tilting of all was the Jacksonville Jaguars receiving corps. In a tailor-made matchup, Marqise Lee went down mid-game and Dede Westbrook looked primed for a huge day. Instead, Keelan Cole went all the way off for 186 yards and touchdown on seven catches, Jaydon Mickens (who had one catch all season coming into the game) caught two touchdowns and Westbrook was left with the scraps (two catches for 21 yards).

Hopefully, Week 16, the Fantasy Super Bowl, will be a bit more predictable. Let’s check it out.
