2017 Fantasy Football Eliminator Challenge: Week 15

Welcome to the Week 15 update of the Fake Teams Fantasy Football Eliminator Challenge!

Week 14 saw incredible games and incredible fantasy football performances. Let’s take a look at how our entries did in Week 14:

Punk is Dead takes home the top spot in week 14 with 95 total points. This is his 4th straight weekly victory and his 6th weekly win on the year (most in the challenge). He also pulls further out in front in total season points. With just 3 weeks remaining in the season Punk is in 1st with 1219 total points. He now leads GanjaDwarvez by 118 points. The battle for 2nd place is close. Mark Abell is just 40 points behind in that race.

Consistency proves to be the ultimate formula for success in this challenge. Punk had 7 of his 8 picks get him 10 or more points. Good copying from Punk and Abell. Both had LeSean McCoy(21) and Robbie Gould(17) in their week 14 lineups. Bad copying hurt Abell and GanjaDwarvez. Both of them had Alvin Kamara(2) and the Bengals DST(-4). Kamara left early in the Thursday game against the Falcons and the Bengals failed to show up whatsoever in their 33-7 loss to the Bears.

In addition to McCoy and Gould, Punk can thank Dez Bryant(13) and Josh Gordon(12) for their week 14 win. This was the best WR combo selected in week 14.

Under the rules of this contest all entries who competed in weeks 1-14 will be without the players they selected going forward. A reminder of players that are ineligible to select for Week 15 are:

For those new to the challenge, here are a few ground rules. The format is basic enough; construct a lineup using the following roster setup: 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1DST, & 1K. We will use standard ESPN scoring which is can be found here. This is NON PPR where a 5 catch for 32 yard day equals 3 fantasy points. Passing touchdowns are 4 points. There isn’t even a salary cap when setting the lineup!

The challenge is you can only select each player ONCE per season! That means if you pick Aaron Rodgers in Week 1, you CANNOT choose him again Weeks 2-17. Matchups play a HUGE part in this game, but so do injuries. Wait too long on using Rob Gronkowski and he could suffer an injury which leaves him unusable in your available player pool for the rest of the season. We are using 2RBs and 2WRs per week to make it even more difficult.
