After struggling with a few different injuries this season, it seems the Packers are ending starting running back Ty Montgomery’s season:
By the way, #Packers put Ty Montgomery on injured reserve because of a wrist injury NOT his rib injury.

Montgomery had been dealing with fractured ribs for most of the year but ultimately went to IR with a wrist injury. All in all, he wasn’t great in his first full season at running back, averaging only 3.8 yards per carry. Plus, given the emergence of rookie backs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams, I wouldn’t expect Montgomery to come back next year as the starting back either. He might be relegated to just a passing role in Green Bay next year.
Time will tell.
