2017 Fantasy Football Eliminator Challenge: Week 13

Welcome to the Week 13 update of the Fake Teams Fantasy Football Eliminator Challenge!

Week 12 saw incredible games and incredible fantasy football performances. Let’s take a look at how our entries did in Week 12:

Punk is Dead takes home the top spot in week 12 with 90 total points. This is his 2nd straight weekly victory and his 4th weekly win on the year (most in the challenge). He also pulls further out in front in total season points. With just 5 weeks remaining in the season Punk is in 1st with 1036 total points. GanjaDwarvez trails Punk by just 56 points. Mark Abell is sitting at 3rd right now but anything can happen!

Antonio Brown put the team on his back in week 12 and racked up 30 fantasy points. This was the best score of any selections. He led the way for a week 12 win for Punk. A very close week though as only 7 points separated 1st from last. All of our owners wish they had their TE selection back. 3 of the 4 owners picked Vernon Davis. Davis had nary a target, let alone a reception or any yardage! Abell, who picked Marcedes Lewis, wins the week at TE by tallying a whopping 1 point!

In addition to Brown(30), Punk also had solid days from Cam Newton(16) and Latavius Murray(14). But make no mistake, Brown was the difference maker.

Under the rules of this contest all entries who competed in weeks 1-12 will be without the players they selected going forward. A reminder of players that are ineligible to select for Week 13 are:

For those new to the challenge, here are a few ground rules. The format is basic enough; construct a lineup using the following roster setup: 1QB, 2RB, 2WR, 1TE, 1DST, & 1K. We will use standard ESPN scoring which is can be found here. This is NON PPR where a 5 catch for 32 yard day equals 3 fantasy points. Passing touchdowns are 4 points. There isn’t even a salary cap when setting the lineup!

The challenge is you can only select each player ONCE per season! That means if you pick Aaron Rodgers in Week 1, you CANNOT choose him again Weeks 2-17. Matchups play a HUGE part in this game, but so do injuries. Wait too long on using Rob Gronkowski and he could suffer an injury which leaves him unusable in your available player pool for the rest of the season. We are using 2RBs and 2WRs per week to make it even more difficult.

For those joining us in Week 13, you have the entire pool of players at your disposal! We will have new winners each week! In addition to that, we will also have a season long total and a weekly average leaderboard.
