Fantasy Fallout: Colts place Andrew Luck on IR

For all those at home hoping Andrew Luck would make a sudden return to football this season to save all of your fantasy teams, think again:

Like, duh.

The Colts are 2-6 right now, suck on about every single level, and have no chance at contending this season. Why bother get your franchise quarterback more injured than you’ve already made him? Now we’ll get to watch a full season of Jacoby Brissett and this offense sputter around doing nothing and this defense turning Halloween into a full year holiday and hand out yards and touchdowns to the little kids. At least we have Marlon Mack.

Indy is going to be an interesting team to watch this offseason as I wouldn’t be surprised to see much of the staff replaced and there very likely could be some big team changes coming down the line. T.Y Hilton’s name was floated around at the trade deadline and he could resurface this offseason.

The biggest thing the Colts need to do is address their offensive line. Luck is an elite quarterback when he’s healthy and his skill alone has been able to mask all the issues that this team has. If the Colts can’t protect their quarterback, they are going to have to live through this nightmare over and over and over.
