With Paul Perkins out for today’s bout against the Chargers, it sounds like the Giants will be running with a running back committee approach:
Fantasy Alert: Expectation is Wayne Gallman + Orleans Darkwa will split carries vs #Chargers 31st-ranked run D.

Have I mentioned to you that I hate running back committees?
The Chargers defense is absolutely awful against the run, giving up almost over 30 fantasy points per game to opposing running backs. I mean, c’mon on that is awful. And of course Ben MacAdoo in his infinite wisdom decides, “Hey, you know what? I don’t care about anyone’s fantasy team and I’m going to split my backfield against the worst rushing defense in the NFL and give no one any help.”
Well thanks Ben.
Ugh.
Wayne Gallman had a good first outing against the Buccaneers last week, leading the Giants in carries (11) and yards (42) and had two catches for eight yards and a receiving touchdown.
McAdoo has said he will use the hot hand, and hopefully that means Gallman. I’d consider Gallman FLEX option and Orleans Darkwa nothing more than an RB4, so, really only play him if you need him. But don’t. I’m sure there are better options out there.
