HOLY. BUCKETS. IT. HAPPENED.
49ers and Patriots began talking trade Monday morning and, by tonight, the trade was officially agreed upon. Garoppolo to San Francisco.

The trade deadline is just 24 hours away (less but I can’t do math right now because my mind is just freaking out) and we already saw the Seahawks trade for Texans’ left tackle Duane Brown. Quick breakdown there: nice move Hawks. Gave up a lot but now you can protect Russell Wilson (hopefully). Good stuff.
Meanwhile, in San Francisco, HOLY COW THE 49ERS HAVE A QUARTERBACK!
So much for my “Kirk Cousins is going to the Niners this offseason” narrative that I’ve been spinning for just about forever. Looks like it’s Jimmy G’s time to shine on the West Coast, which is honestly where that man is meant to live. I mean, just look at the man!
You can tell I’m very distracted and flustered and still processing all this because I’m just riding whatever brainwave is swelling up in my head.
From a fantasy standpoint, this could be big. And by big I really just mean the 49ers might not suck as much as they have anymore. San Fran isn’t loaded with offensive talent but Kyle Shanahan knows how to build an offense and he now has a pretty talented quarterback at it’s helm. I’m going to be really curious to see what happens now in San Fran for the rest of the season.
Meanwhile, Tom Brady doesn’t have a backup.
