Margot may not play on one of the best teams in the major leagues, but he is one of the fastest players in the league right now. He ranked tenth overall on Statcast’s Sprint Speed with a 29.3 ft/sec. This will help fantasy owners add to their stolen baser totals, but that is not all he offers.
With a swinging strike rate of 8.6% and above average plate discipline, Margot should hit for a decently high batting average. This would most likely be around the .270 mark, but don’t be surprised if it is even higher than that. Margot also offers has some power potential. He may not hit 30 or 40 home run, but it wouldn’t be to crazy to project 20. He is only 23 years old, and still has a lot of time to mature. He already hit 13 home runs last season, but that number could continue to grow in 2018.
