Welcome to Week 7 NFL action people.
This week has some movement at the top as Aaron Rodgers, the mainstay top option, is reportedly out for the season. Tom Brady is the top option and Matt Ryan round out the top 3 in what is expected to be a thrilling offensive show Sunday night in Foxboro. Monday night’s game between the Philadelphia Eagles and Washington Redskins offers some NFC East intrigue as well with two quarterbacks who may be ranked too low. Monday will offer some insight into that heading into week 8!
Running back rankings
Only two teams on bye this week. Lamar Miller and Ameer Abdullah sitting this week, but everyone else back. No Ezekiel Elliott rank. It seemed like perhaps the most obvious thing ever to see Elliott's injunction overturned. The CBA very clearly states that the laws of New York will government the CBA. As such, this fight is heading to New York now. Sure, the Southern District of New York might issue a similar injunction before the weekend. If so, Elliott would fall in between Le'Veon Bell and Devonta Freeman.
Wide receiver rankings
Julio Jones still doesn’t have a touchdown. Stefon Diggs is dealing with a groin injury that hampered him all of last season. Jordy Nelson, Davante Adams and Randall Cobb just lost their star quarterback for the whole season.
Maybe it’s not all sunshine and roses for the wide receiver position after all.
Tight end rankings
Week 7 offers about 13 solid options at the position, but after George Kittle there’s a drop off at the position. Austin Hooper’s outlook gets dinged a bit since Mohamed Sanu returned to practice this week and Atlanta brass have stated their commitment to get Julio Jones the ball. After Hooper...good luck!
