Below is the average of ‘CORSI For per 60 minutes' on the Home team and Away team to tell me if this is going to be a shot filled matchup. The graph below is sorted from the most offensively oriented games to the least offensively oriented. To put it in a nutshell, if you want goals scored - look at the top teams, if you want to see where your goalie will be seeing few shots and have the best opportunity look to the bottom. Ten Notes:
1. Minnesota Wild. They run the road gauntlet post All-Star break through three Canadian Teams. The easy ones, use Minnesota players!
2. NYR. Sure they have Columbus but they also have Buffalo and Calgary, good chance to net some heavy goals this week. Michael Grabner (51% owned) continues to score at a rapid pace.
3. Colorado Avalanche. Given that they are 1-8-1 over their last ten I imagine you aren't using them much as it is but they face Anaheim and LA on the road which is no easy task for them.
4. Florida Panthers. Ottawa and Anaheim even at home is no easy task. They are traveling quite a bit but are strong programs right now.
5. Chicago Blackhawks. They have a 4 game week against some tough opponents (at San Jose and at Dallas) and some easy ones, home against Colorado and road against Arizona, very favorable for them.
6. Toronto Maple Leafs. They have allowed the 9th fewest and scored the 4th most goals over the last 30 days and they face St. Louis, Boston and Dallas who are all among the 12 most porous defenses over that time.
7. NY Islanders. They face Washington, Detroit and Carolina. The Islanders have scored the 14th most goals and allowed the 2nd fewest over the last 30 days.
8. Anaheim Ducks. They face Colorado at home before an away tandem at TB and Florida, I think Rickard Ridell (40% owned) and Hampus Lindholm (36% owned) are having great months.
9. LA Kings. Great week for 3 out of 4 games. At Arizona, vs. Colorado and at Philly should be prime with goal scoring. At Washington will be a brick wall meeting a buzz saw.
10. Buffalo Sabres. They face teams that are a combined 23 games over .500, not a fun week.
