Reminder: Always double check the lineup card before rosters lock to make sure that a player you've chosen to roster is playing that day, and check the weather to make sure your players won't get rained out of their game.

FanDuel has made some tweaks to their scoring criteria for 2016. Check that out here. FanDuel is also only available to play for money in specific states. See their website for more details to see if FanDuel is playable for cash in your home state.

Expensive pitching: Madison Bumgarner ($11,400) vs Rockies

Bumgarner faces the Rockies at home in pitcher friendly SF. The Rockies have a bottom third wRC+ vs LHP at 87 and the 7th highest K% vs LHP at 23.7%. Rockies hitters also tend to struggle a little more on the road than most teams because of the sharp change in park effects at Coors vs on the road with how pitches move. Bumgarner has a 2.20 ERA, 3.20 FIP and 27% strikeout rate and is the pitching option I like most today.

Salary relief pitching: Carlos Rodon ($7,900) vs Yankees

For a more risky salary relief to play more expensive hitting, Carlos Rodon has a decent matchup by the numbers. Rodon faces the Yankees today, a team that ranks 5th worst by OPS vs LHP at .685. Rodon has been below average this year by unadjusted numbers, with an ERA of 4.24 and FIP of 4.23, and pitching his home games in US Cellular Field in the summer is not a great park for preventing runs, so there's risk. The Yankees low strikeout rate vs lefties (18%, third lowest) does not help, either, and Masahiro Tanaka opposes Rodon. But there's some upside for run prevention over the course of 6 innings or so with the Yankees poor production vs lefties so far.

Hitting

Nelson Cruz ($3,700) vs Dallas Keuchel

Cruz is one of the greatest lefty mashers in the game at the moment. Since the start of 2015, Cruz leads baseball with a ridiculous 196 wRC+ vs LHP with a .346 ISO. Keuchel is struggling this year against righties, posting a below average .285/.345/.480 slash with a 4.39 FIP.

Paul Goldschmidt ($4,100) vs Christian Friedrich

Goldschmidt is right behind Cruz with his elite production vs lefties, posting the 2nd highest wRC+ (189) since the start of last year, with a .241 ISO. The matchup takes place in hitter friendly Chase Field against a below average lefty.
