Fantasy Hockey Week 22 Team Forecast

Favorable schedules, who has an easy road ahead, who has it tough. 2/29/2016 - 3/6/2016. Time for Stamkos to excel

Charles LeClaire-USA TODAY Sports

Goals Against - a low ranking means they let in lots of goals (Ottawa is the worst defensive team and they are ranked #1).

Goals for - the lower the ranking the more the team scores (Dallas is the best scoring team 1 ranking).

So you want to face a team with a low GA and a high GF. This is based off this seasons goals for and against, it will be updated as the season progresses to be a larger aggregate of this year.

Number of games this week:

5 Games: Pittsburgh Penguins

4 Games: Calgary Flames, Dallas Stars, Edmonton Oilers, Minnesota Wild, Montreal Canadiens, New Jersey Devils, NY Rangers, Ottawa Senators, Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals and Winnipeg Jets.

3 Games: Anaheim Ducks,  Arizona Coyotes, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, Chicago Blackhawks, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Florida Panthers, Nashville Predators, NY Islanders, Philadelphia Flyers, San Jose Sharks, Tampa Bay Lightning and Vancouver Canucks.

2 Games: Carolina Hurricanes, Los Angeles Kings and St. Louis Blues

Opponent and then the ranking of Goals Scored and Goals Allowed. You want to face a low number - high number (a 1-30 would be the most ideal matchup)

Favorable Offensive Matchups:
-Philadelphia Flyers. They play Calgary, Edmonton and Columbus all of whom are in the bottom 5 in the league defensively. Brayden Schenn (56% owned) has been playing very well lately.
-Florida Panthers. A feast week for the Panthers as they face Winnipeg, Colorado and Arizona on the road. All three are in the bottom 7 in goals scored. Aleksander Barkov is back from injury with a bang, two goals in the first game. He's only 46% owned.
-Tampa Bay Lightning. A good week for Stamkos and the Triplets line as they face Toronto, Ottawa and Carolina who are all in the bottom half in goals cored, Ottawa is the 2nd worst team. Alex Killorn is on the top line with Stamkos and is only 9% owned.

Unfavorable Offensive Matchups:
-Arizona Coyotes. They play Pittsburgh, Anaheim andFlorida who are all top ten defenses right now. Florida is the best defensive team in the league and Anaheim is forced into it to win any games.
-Colorado Avalanche. Minnesota, Florida and Nashville. Florida is the tough one but Devan Dubnyk and Pekka Rinne are not easy matchups either.
-Carolina Hurricanes. New Jersey won't be happy after letting in 6 goals to the Blue Jackets and Tampa Bay is starting to excel on both ends of the rink in their late season playoff push. Additionally both matchups are on the road.

Favorable Defensive Matchups:
-San Jose Sharks. They have a home game against Montreal who has regained their strength offensively but then a home and away against Vancouver who is the 3rd worst offensive team. Martin Jones could have a strong week.
-Edmonton Oilers. They have a week on the road against Buffalo, Philadelphia, Columbus and Winnipeg. The first two are among the worst 5 in goals scored while the last two are in the bottom half of the league.
-Minnesota Wild. Home against Colorado and St. Louis at the start and end of the week and some away matches against Toronto and Buffalo in the middle. Toronto and Buffalo are among the worst two and St. Louis is in the bottom half.

Unfavorable Defensive Matchups:
-Detroit Red Wings. Dallas on the road (who is one of the most lethal offenses) and Chicago home and away who are in the top 5 in goals scored.
-Boston Bruins. Tuuka Rask is in for a tough week. Calgary is heating up lately and that's their easy matchup. After that, they have Chicago and Washington who are both top 5 offenses.
-Vancouver Canucks. They face the Islanders at home then a home and away against the Sharks. Both are top 7 offenses in the league.
