Week 20 Waiver Wire Options
Goaltender: Cam Ward is back Fantasy Hockey GM. After missing several games due to a nasty concussion he's returned with two stellar performances turning back 66 shots of the 70 he has faced for a 94 percent save percentage with Ward going 1-1 over those 2 games. The Wild have four games this week including one back-to-back so it's reasonable to expect Ward to play three times in week 20. Ward is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.
Center: Jordan Staal has been hot over his last five games with one goal and 6 assists with just 9 shots on goal. His lone goal came on the Hurricanes power play and he also added a power play assist. Staal sees roughly 19 minutes a night on the Hurricanes top line and top power play units, has a season long plus minus rating of plus 8 and twelve penalty minutes. The Hurricanes have four games this week and Staal is available in just over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.
Left Wing: David Perron is hot folks. Over his past five games he's scored 2 goals and added 3 helpers on just 8 shots on goal. Skating roughly 16 minutes a night between the Ducks second line and second power play unit has been good for him. During that five game stretch Perron has a plus minus rating of plus 5 and just 2 penalty minutes. The Ducks have four games this week and Perron is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.
Center/Left Wing: Sam Bennett is another one who has been fairly hot and over his last five games he's scored 2 goals with 4 assists and 10 shots on goal skating roughly 16 minutes a night on the Flames second line and second power play unit. During that same five game stretch Bennett had two power play assists, a plus minus rating of plus 3 with 8 penalty minutes, four games this week and is available in just over 70 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.
Left Wing: Carl Hagelin is off to a great start with the Penguins. Over his past five games he's had a goal and an assist to go along with 11 shots on goal. Hagelin has been skating roughly 17 minutes a night on the Penguins second line and over the past five games Hagelin has posted a plus minus rating of minus five and 2 penalty minutes. The Penguins have four games this week and Hagelin is available in just over 65 percent of all Major Fantasy Hockey leagues.
