If you still care about rankings this late in the game, you must have survived the apocalypse that was Week 14—so congratulations if so. For my part, I am enjoying the daily game instead of seasonal leagues this weekend, as I am now bounced out of all three of my seasonal leagues. So it goes. Maybe next year I won’t have zero shares of Le’Veon...
Here’s how my outlook differs from the majority, at least over on FantasyPros...
I like Ladarius Green quite a bit this week, despite this being a tough divisional matchup. Mainly I feel that way because the Steelers have no WR2 to speak of...it’s been all Antonio Brown or Le’Veon Bell. As of now, Green is my #2 tight end option behind Kelce. Vernon Davis, Garrett Celek, Daniel Brown, and AJ Derby are other names I like more than most.
I’m down on Olsen compared to the field, as he hasn’t been reliable all season and does not have the resume to be listed as a top option at this point. Gary Barnidge and both Indianapolis tight ends are also not viable options in my book. If I had to pick one I would choose Doyle, but I wouldn’t be excited about the idea.
Best of luck to all, and look for an update from me on Saturday. I’d love it if someone would comment and disagree with me about something. Doesn’t have to be football. I actually like what the Atlanta Braves are doing by signing these geriatric starting pitchers...surely someone disagrees with that?
1 Travis Kelce
2 Ladarius Green
3 Jimmy Graham
4 Tyler Eifert
5 Jordan Reed
I want to go higher on Reed and think there is a great chance he can explode against Carolina this week. However, if it were a seasonal league I would take any of the guys ahead of him, knowing they are healthy. In DFS it’s another story...
6 Kyle Rudolph
7 Delanie Walker
8 Greg Olsen
9 Cameron Brate
10 Martellus Bennett
11 Antonio Gates
12 Zach Ertz
I keep waiting on Gates’ two-touchdown game. It is coming. I think. Delanie Walker gets some dap for being super-reliable this season, but this is a rough matchup. If you decided on Olsen, Brate, or Bennett instead I wouldn’t fault your logic. But I stick with Walker over Gates or Ertz.
13 Eric Ebron
14 C.J. Fiedorowicz
15 Hunter Henry
16 Vernon Davis
17 Jermaine Gresham
18 Jason Witten
19 Charles Clay
20 Garrett Celek
21 Dennis Pitta
22 Coby Fleener
23 Daniel Brown
24 AJ Derby
The only ‘mover’ that isn’t currently listed as a TE2 or better option is Ryan Griffin. Griffin would get a big boost if Fiedorowicz is ruled out with a concussion. That said, it sounds like Fiedorowicz will play, so I have them listed as such.
25 Gary Barnidge
26 Lance Kendricks
27 Jack Doyle
28 Ryan Griffin
29 Jared Cook
30 Dwayne Allen
All the best to you if you are digging this deep. Hopefully you are not. Good luck this week, ladies and gents.
