No shortage of value plays in the main slate on FanDuel.com in Week 9, building lineups seems a little easier this week. Check out one of my favorite tournament lineups for this Sunday.
Drew Brees $8,600 – New Orleans (-3.5) @ San Francisco, +/- 52.5
I don’t always spend a lot on quarterbacks, but when I do, I prefer Drew Brees against one of the worst defenses in the league. There are not a lot of great matchups for the bargain basement guys this week, so I’ll spend the extra nickel on Brees.
Le’Veon Bell $8,700 – Pittsburgh (-1) @ Baltimore, +/- 43.5
Even spending up at quarterback, I ended up with plenty of extra money to go out and pick up Lev-Bell. The Steelers and the Ravens always play it tight, and with Ben Roethlisberger nursing injury, Bell should get plenty of work.
Terrance West $6,400 - Pittsburgh (-1) @ Baltimore, +/- 43.5
Again, Steelers vs Ravens is always a close one. I want both backs from this matchup. West’s discount at $6,400 helps take the edge off of Bell’s lofty price.
Tyreek Hill $4,700 – Jacksonville @ Kansas City (-7.5), +/- 44
One of my favorite GPP values this week, I’m in on the rookie speedster. Hill scored 12.6 and 19 FanDuel points the past two weeks, and Nick Foles will be helming the Chiefs offense this week against a bad, bad Jaguars D.
Dez Bryant $7,800 – Dallas (-7) @ Cleveland, +/- 48.5
Dez only caught 4 of his 14 targets, ending up with 113 yards and a touchdown. It looks like Dak Prescott has learned that you throw the ball to a receiver like Bryant come hell or high-water. We’ll see more the same against the Browns this weekend.
Willie Snead $6,500 - New Orleans (-3.5) @ San Francisco, +/- 52.5
I like all the Saints receivers this week, settling for Snead because of his price-tag. San Fran is bad on D, New Orleans is great on O.
Greg Olsen $7,500 – Carolina (-3) @ Los Angeles, +/- 44.5
I wanted to play Tyreek Hill, and that freed me up to play high-dollar studs like Olsen and Bell. I’m not too keen on other tight end matchups outside of Rudolph against the Lions, and I ended up with the extra bread to roster Olsen.
Will Lutz $4,500 - New Orleans (-3.5) @ San Francisco, +/- 52.5
I’m taking the min-priced kicker in this week’s 2nd highest over/under contest.
Chiefs $5,100 - Jacksonville @ Kansas City (-7.5), +/- 44
The Chiefs are relentless on defense, and Blake Bortles has taken a major step backwards in his development. The KC crowd and that ball-hawking defense could make things more uncomfortable than the back seat of a Volkswagen for the ole Jags.
