Waiver Adds You Should Start Week 11

Check out these deep waiver adds that can help you win your Week 11 matchup.

NFL: Philadelphia Eagles at Washington Redskins Brad Mills-USA TODAY Sports

We’ve got a few solid starters taking a break this week, and the fantasy playoff picture is starting to come in to focus. If you’re stuck and need a miracle plug and play, check out a few of my favorite deep waiver adds for week 11.

Ryan Tannehill – Miami (-1.5) @ Los Angeles, +/- 40

I’m at a cross-roads I thought I’d never revisit, but, as odd as it sounds to say out loud... Ryan Tannehill will be a good starter this week. The Dolphins have put together a few good games in a row, and Tannehill is playing at least serviceable football. The Rams will be starting Jared Goff with Vegas pegging LA as an underdog at home. Even if Goff ends up being a quality starter in the NFL, expectations should be tempered in his debut. The ‘fins could play poorly and still, Tannehill will have ample opportunity to get you a couple touchdowns and a nice yardage total.

Tyreek Hill – Tampa Bay @ Kansas City (-7.5), +/- 44.5

Tyreek Hill is owned in 32% of leagues, so this is likely the last time he’ll qualify for my deep waiver add column (only players owned in less than 33% of leagues here). The Chiefs have found the replacement speed for their loss of Jamaal Charles. Hill is electric, and he’s being utilized in what can only politely be described as a pedestrian Chiefs offense. I expect KC will continue to win close games and not put up amazing offensive numbers. I also expect Hill to continue to get his fair share of what is, admittedly, a pretty small pie.

Chris Thompson – Green Bay @ Washington (2.5), +/- 50.5

If you don’t need help this week, I’d rather take a shot on one of the strong handcuffs like Alfred Morris or Andre Ellington. If you have to get some production this week, Thompson is a nice addition, owned in only 27% of leagues. The fellas in the desert think we’ll see a lot of points in this Sunday night matchup, and that bodes well for the third down back.

Lance Kendricks - Miami (-1.5) @ Los Angeles, +/- 40

The pickin’s are slim at tight end this week, and so I’ll take a shot in the dark on a fairly talented tight end playing with rookie quarterback making his debut. Kendricks has put up a couple of nice games, and we generally expect rookie QBs to check down and take the short sure thing. If you’re stuck, start Kendricks and try not to scoreboard watch.

Washington - Green Bay @ Washington (2.5), +/- 50.5

I don’t like any of the streaming DST matchups, so I’ll toss Washington in against a struggling Packers side. They’re at least getting to the quarterback. Having a little skin in the game on Sunday night is enough for me to plug and pray here.

Nick Novak – Houston @ Oakland (-6), +/- 40

Novak and the Texans are facing a potent Oakland offense in Mexico on Monday night. The Texans are coming off a pretty mediocre showing against the Jags in their last action. If the Texans are going to stay competitive against the Raiders they’ll have to take every chance they can get to put points on the board.
