Week 11 Running Back Rankings - PPR Leagues

Examining the best matchups for week eleven running backs from a point per reception-league standpoint.

Greg M. Cooper-USA TODAY Sports

Three more weeks until the fantasy playoffs. Make those final waiver moves to bolster your bench depth. Make the right decisions in your weekly lineups. Get the popcorn ready. It should be a fun final three weeks before the sweats start to kick in.

Rank Player Team Opponent Analysis
Le'Veon Bell PIT @CLE He's looked so good this year and now gets the third worst defense against the RB position.
DeMarco Murray TEN @IND In his toughest test of the year against the Packers last week, Murray went for 123 rushing yards and a TD. Now he gets the Colts, who he torched for 107 and a TD just a few weeks back.
LeSean McCoy BUF @CIN Fresh off a bye week, Shady will be fully healed from a lingering hamstring injury and ready to explode against an underachieving Bengals defense.
Ezekiel Elliott DAL BAL Despite the Ravens sporting one of the toughest run defenses in all of football, hard to knock down Zeke much considering his usage, efficiency, and being a home favorite.
David Johnson ARI @MIN He's been bankable all year and the Vikings have sprung a lot of leaks on defense over the past few weeks. The Cards' inability to do much on offense against the 49ers last week is a bit of a concern, though.
LeGarrette Blount NE @SF He has 12 rushing TDs on the year and gets a Niners defense that's given up 13 of those.
Jonathan Stewart CAR NO Coming off a brutal game in a tough matchup, but he tagged the Saints for 85 yards and two TDs just a few weeks ago.
Jay Ajayi MIA @LA Not a good matchup by any means, but the Dolphins are committed to riding Ajayi and he has the ability to wear down any defense.
Spencer Ware KC TB Came away from a really tough matchup last week with a decent game and now gets the Bucs, who have given up the 7th most fantasy points to the position.
Theo Riddick DET JAX Riddick either goes for 20+ points or under 10. Not much of a high middle ground. This feels like a 20+ week, though, against an unimposing Jags defense.
Lamar Miller HOU @OAK I don't know if he's still not healthy or what, but he only played on 38% of snaps last week and didn't do much in a plus matchup. He got tracked down on a long run by a linebacker and hasn't looked that explosive all year. His usage keeps him ranked high, but it hasn't been pretty.
Latavius Murray OAK HOU The Texans have been horrible in run defense all year, and now they get Murray who headed into his bye week on the back of a 114 yard, three TD performance.
Frank Gore IND TEN While the Titans have played solid run defense all year, Gore went for 83 total yards and a TD against them a few weeks back. He's been consistent all year, and that should continue coming off a bye.
Doug Martin TB @KC Didn't look all that good coming off a lengthy injury, but got a good amount of carries and scored a touchdown in a tough matchup. Should get more in rhythm this week, but the matchup is daunting once again.
Todd Gurley LA MIA His team sucks and he hasn't shown much of anything himself, either. You're banking on one of his many touches coming at the goal line and he sneaks into the end zone.
James Starks GB @WAS Ty Montgomery was an afterthought in the offense with Starks back. Starks didn't get many touches, but looked okay when he did and got into the end zone on a reception. He now gets one of the best matchups there is and will get more touches.
Jordan Howard CHI @NYG We don't know if he's injured or not (conflicting reports), but he looked great again despite losing a fumble in a blowout loss. As long as he plays, he's a solid RB2.
Rob Kelley WAS GB Washington's new bellcow, Kelley has looked pretty good and now gets a crumbling, overrated Packers run defense.
Giovani Bernard CIN BUF Didn't do much of anything on Monday night, but the Bills need to be attacked through the air rather than on the ground, setting up for more of a Gio than Hill game.
Kenneth Dixon BAL @DAL Looked infinitely better than West against the Browns, and will be needed in the passing game much more if the Ravens get down big early (which seems likely).
C.J. Prosise SEA PHI Looked fantastic on SNF and seems to have left Christine Michael in the dust. Thomas Rawls might be back, but I wouldn't expect him to ding Prosise just yet.
Carlos Hyde SF NE You're banking on volume and volume alone in this one. Maybe he gets a short touchdown.
James White NE @SF Has maintained his role even with Dion Lewis off PUP. We'll see how long that lasts, but you can start him this week against the worst run defense in football.
Isaiah Crowell CLE PIT He's kept his fantasy lines afloat the last two weeks with receiving work. Should find more room to run this week against a hit-or-miss Steelers run defense.
Mark Ingram NO @CAR Did nothing against them in his first meeting and not expecting much this time around, especially with Hightower cutting into his carries.
Jeremy Hill CIN BUF The Bills are tough to penetrate on the ground, but Hill has scored in three consecutive games.
T.J. Yeldon JAX @DET This team is so annoying and so bad. Yeldon is an okay play in PPR this week against a really bad Lions defense.
Rashad Jennings NYG CHI I'm sorry if you're forced to start him. It won't be fun. I'd hope for eight points.
Darren Sproles PHI @SEA Sproles has been consistent in PPR over the past three weeks, so he should have another decent game even in a tough matchup.
Terrance West BAL @DAL He's been BRUTAL over the past three weeks, going for 102 yards on 44 carries, good for a 2.32 ypc. Dixon is siphoning work from him quickly, and that'll continue in a game where they could be down for most of the game.
Chris Ivory JAX @DET A week after committing to the run game, the Jags went back to letting Blake Bortles throw 51 pass attempts against a porous Texans run defense. This team is a train wreck.
Matt Asiata MIN ARI It'll either be a two point game or an eight point one from him. Just depends on whether he converts a one yard TD or not.
DuJuan Harris SF NE If the Pats get very ahead early, Harris could end up having a solid game as their main passing down back.
Duke Johnson Jr. CLE PIT Has become an afterthought in a terrible offense. Not much to like with him anymore.
Paul Perkins NYG CHI Has taken some work from Jennings over the past few weeks, but not nearly enough to feel good about using him in a flex spot.
Tim HIghtower NO @CAR He really isn't good at all and this matchup is among the worst in the league.
Christine Michael SEA PHI His role is dwindling at an alarming rate and could vanish completely if Rawls is back this week.
Derrick Henry TEN @IND Maybe they'll get him some carries in a prime matchup, but he only got one carry against the Colts the last time they met.
Damien Williams MIA @LA Has established a nice role for himself as Ajayi's backup and is dynamic as a pass catcher. You could do worse if you're in a bind at the RB position.
Mike Gillislee BUF @CIN He's pretty good, but he isn't much more than a breather back for Shady. He's a dart throw.
Jerick McKinnon MIN ARI Does Jerick McKinnon actually exist or is he just a figment of our imagination?
Ryan Mathews PHI @SEA After barely being used for several weeks, Doug Pederson decided to give Mathews 21 touches. I'm done with Pederson, and I'll expect Kenjon Barner to rack up 15 carries in this one.
Jalen Richard OAK HOU Whichever backup Raiders RB you take a chance on, it'll be the other one that plays well. Trust me.
DeAndre Washington OAK HOU Whichever backup Raiders RB you take a chance on, it'll be the other one that plays well. Trust me.
Chris Thompson WAS GB Don't play him if you don't have to. He just doesn't get many touches at all.
Ty Montgomery GB @WAS After looking fantastic for three straight weeks, the Packers kept him on a snap count two weeks ago and then gave James Starks most of the work ahead of him last week. The Packers are #notsmart.
Alfred Blue HOU @OAK He's gotten seven or more carries in three straight games, but hasn't done anything with them.
Dwayne Washington DET JAX He got 10 carries the week before his bye. That's something to be excited about. He only got 26 yards. That's not something to be excited about.
Jeremy Langford CHI @NYG If Howard is out or limited, Langford could be a sneaky play.
Peyton Barber TB @KC Still got 12 carries with Martin back. Will still be involved going forward.
