With four teams on bye this week, fantasy owners are left without options such as Blake Bortles, Russell Wilson, Drew Brees and Alex Smith. Nevertheless, there are plenty of serviceable gunslingers to replace their production.

Notes & Analysis:
- Tom Brady should knock off the rust from his suspension in a hurry against an always-pitiful Browns defense... Let’s just say that Cleveland’s D/ST is not a recommended start.
- Ben Roethlisberger is fresh off a near-perfect performance against a tough Chiefs defense and will now be playing with extreme confidence at home versus a poor Jets secondary.
- Derek Carr is the next man up to take advantage of SD’s depleted defense. He should find success early and often, passing right through their ravaged secondary.
- Carson Wentz comes off his bye week to face a Detroit defense that is allowing almost 25 fantasy points per game to opposing quarterbacks. He’s a safe, back-end QB1.
- Kirk Cousins has seen his effectiveness rise in the past two weeks. He’ll be a borderline QB1 against a Ravens defense that just allowed four TDs to Derek Carr.
- Jameis Winston offers major sleeper appeal on MNF against an underachieving Panthers defense that was just absolutely torched by Matty Ice.
- Speaking Matt Ryan, he has been on fire so far, but will have his toughest matchup of the season in Week 5 when he travels to Denver. He’s more of a QB2.
- I feel the need to point out what a great QB matchup we have set for Thursday evening when Blaine Gabbert and Drew Stanton square off in what should be an old fashioned shootout. Disregard what you just read.
