Valentine's Day is coming, but does the love for your woman exceed your love for DFS?

Priorities, man.

Let's do this.

Brandon Jennings, DET, PG ($4000)

Brandon Jennings is not healthy. Not yet. He's averaged 16.2 PPG and 6.1 AST his entire NBA career. This year? Try 6.4 PPG and 3.5 AST. Look, he missed half the season last year. He'll be back to his high volume, low percentage, counting stat beast days soon enough. Perhaps even tonight? There are signs that the old Jennings is emerging. While he had absolute stinkers the last 2 games, he grabbed 10 boards and 4 assists in 18 minutes the game before that. And he scored 20 points with 5 accompanying assists the game before that (in only 20 minutes). Eventually the old Brandon is going to emerge. A breakout game could happen any day. This is the kid who scored 55 in a game his rookie season. For 4 grand, I'd roll the dice on Brandon Jennings if you need a high upside play tonight for a bargain basement price...

Jamal Crawford, LAC, SG ($4100)

I keep referring JC - despite his volatile season. Last game, he went off for 21 points on 9/16 shooting. He's always a risk this year, but he's underpriced. There's still value here. I would have no problem slotting him in your 2-guard slot if you're looking for a deal...

Justise Winslow, MIA, SF ($4200)

Tied his career high with 13 points last game. And he did it on beastly 6/7 shooting from the field. Throw in 7 boards, 2 assists and 2 steals - and I'm sold! He's got some of the best counting stat games for a small forward that is still economical. Steady, but unspectacular. But numbers are numbers, and he can help you tonight...

Noah Vonleh, POR, PF ($3800)

I've been waiting all year to finally get a chance to recommend Vonleh! High upside pick in the 2014 NBA draft (went 9th overall), Noah has put together 2 very solid games in a row. His last two, he's averaging 10.5 PPG, 6.5 REB, 1.5 STL, 1.0 BLK and a combined 10/13 from the field. There could be a breakout here. Get on board tonight...

Salah Mejri, DAL, C ($3700)

I'll admit it: I'm a sucker for an underdog. While Salah had a real stinker last game, he's had 2 double doubles in the last 5 games. (Technically one of those games was just CLOSE to a double double, but he went off for 17 & 9 with a block that day.) Look, he could be a DNP-CD. I won't pretend otherwise. But he could also just be scratching the surface here... I mean, he's 7'2". If you're looking for a true underdog story, the emotional choice is clear: choose Salah Mejri.

So that's 5 guys I'm putting my electronic name behind. It's a little bit annoying to have to stand behind the cheapest options available, but DFS is very much about balancing risk vs budget.

It could be worse: I could be Isiah Thomas.

Perhaps the worst GM in the history of the league.

But man could that guy smile...

I'm brushing my teeth as we speak.
