Fantasy Football Week 3 PPR Sleepers

Heading into week 3 of the NFL season, Tyler Baddick gives you his fantasy football sleepers.

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

Week 2 is in the books, with Week 3 games approaching, fantasy owners will have to be active on the waiver wire, trying to find great value on waivers. When looking at the waiver wire, fantasy owners must try and find the best value available. The waiver wire can make or break someone's season, making it crucial to find fantasy football sleeper plays. This list of sleepers will be based off of matchup and projected game plan.

David Johnson- Back to back games with a touchdown, David Johnson is becoming a reliable target for Carson Palmer and the Arizona Cardinals. Bruce Arians has recently said that he see's comparisons between David Johnson and pro bowl running back Matt Forte. Johnson can be a solid play for fantasy owners in week 3 with his solid receiving ability and the team currently missing running back Andre Ellington.

Matt Jones- With a solid preseason for the Washington Redskins, Jones had a huge week 2 of the NFL season. Currently behind Alfred Morris on the team depth chart, Jones is seeing an increase in playing time where he saw 19 carries for 123 yards and a touchdown. The redskins are turning into a run heavy team, if Matt Jones can continue to improve, he could be the waiver wire pick up of the year. Fantasy owners should pickup Matt Jones and see what he does tonight.

Nate Washington- With 160 yards through the first 2 weeks of the NFL season, Washington has been a solid receiver in Houston.Still without a touchdown, Washington is getting a solid amount of yards. Nate is only a starter as a flex play in deeper leagues, but keep an eye on Washington this week to see if he can keep the consistency going.

Donte Moncrief- With back to back games with a touchdown and over 100 yards receiving in week 2, Moncrief is becoming a reliable target for a struggling colts offense. Andrew Luck is currently struggling but hasn't struggled to get the ball to Moncrief through the first 2 weeks. I expect another solid week against a weak Titans secondary. Look for the Colts offense to take multiple shots down the field with Moncrief seeing some of those passes. Moncrief should be a starter in week 3 for deeper fantasy leagues.

Eric Ebron- Two touchdowns in 2 games, Ebron is already being more productive as a player than when he was a rookie last season. Ebron will have to face a tough Broncos defense in week 3, but the Broncos tend to struggle to cover Tight Ends. Look for the lions to look Ebron's way when the team is in the red zone. Eric Ebron has the ability to be a top 10 fantasy tight end this season.
