Let’s FanDuel – Week 1

Daily fantasy kicks off on FanDuel this week. I'll share the lineup I am entering for this FanDuel contest.

I like to start with my defense. The Miami Dolphins at $4,700 vs Washington is the pick this week. There are some cheaper DSTs out there if you need to save a couple bucks, but I am counting on interception-y Kirk Cousins to show up today.

At kicker, I want to get a guy close to the minimum salary but still in a high over/under projected game. Brandon McManus fits the bill, kicking for the Denver Broncos and coming in at $4,500.

No Gronk on this slate since the Patriots played on Thursday, so I'll pass on a few of the higher price options. Miami's Jordan Cameron for $5,500 against Washington looks pretty tasty. I hope he's largely avoided since he's expensive enough to ward off those looking to punt at TE, but also dodge someone willing to pay up at the position.

I like to find a value at WR early, then see if I can take advantage of those savings later. Allen Hurns at $4,600 is a great value for GPPs this week. I'll roster him and use those savings to get some studs.

Now I'll take a look at a quarterback and wide receiver to get a nice stack. Tony Romo at $8,700 and Dez Bryant at $8,700 in a spicy matchup against the New York Giants, yes please.

I'll pick out my backs next. I've saved a good bit with my selections thus far, so I have plenty to spend at running back. I see two studs sitting next to each other that I just can't pass up. Eddie Lacy and CJ Anderson cost $8,500 and $8,400 respectively, so they're on the squad now.

I've got $6,400 left, and John Brown at $6,000 jumps off the page at me. He's on the team.

Now, I have $400 salary left. Anytime I have leftover salary, I like to look at positions where I've tried to save (my last WR and my TE). I can swap out Allen Hurns for Eddie Royal, and I like that over/under in the Packers V Bears game. I'll make that swap and go with Royal.
