Week 20 of the Fantasy Baseball season is coming to a close this weekend; for many it's the last chance to make it to the top half of their league playoffs.....if you need starting pitching this weekend here are some suggestions for you to consider.

Each of the pitchers listed below are available in over 50 percent of all Major Fantasy baseball leagues and is the scheduled starter at the time of this publication. Please check your lineups daily for any last minute changes to the schedule.

Friday

Raisel Iglesias and the Cincinnati Reds are I Milwaukee for a Friday night game against the Brewers. Over the past 4 starts the rookie right-hander is 1-2 with a 1.73 ERA on 30 strikeouts, 6 walks and 2 bombs over 30.1 innings pitched. Tremendous 2.35 xFIP and going into the contest the Brewers over the past week have been whiffing at a rate of 21 percent with a team wOBA of .365 and wRC+ of 128. This one has all the earmarks of a great stream with the strikeout potential as well as ERA on Friday night.

Mike Fiers and the Houston Astros visit the Minnesota Twins for a Friday night contest. Over the past 4 starts Fiers has a 1-1 record with a 2.42 ERA with 25 whiffs, 9 walks and 2 bombs over 26 innings pitched. Average 3.63 xFIP and he'll face a Twins team that over the past week has struck out at a 25 percent rate with a .311 wOBA and wRC+ of 97. Here's another nice streaming opportunity especially if you need strikeouts and with the way the Astros stroke the ball maybe a win as well on Friday night.

Saturday

Drew Hutchison makes his return to the Toronto Blue Jays rotation when they host the Detroit Tigers in a Saturday afternoon game. Over his past 4 MLB starts he is 3-0 with a 3.42 ERA and 17 strikeouts, 6 walks and 2 bombs over 23.2 innings pitched. Below average 4.41 xFIP and he'll face a Tigers team that over the past week has struck out just 15 percent of the time with a wOBA of .380 and a wRC+ of 144. It's daunting I know but Hutchison's mound opponent is Buck Farmer and while this might be a tough one to pull off if you need a win to get you into the playoffs this might just be the game to do it.

Ubaldo Jimenez and the Baltimore Orioles are in Texas for a Saturday night game against the Rangers. Over his past 4 starts Jimenez is 1-1 with a 5.32 ERA with 21 whiffs, 8 walks and 3 bombs over 23.2 innings pitched. His 3.60 xFIP is more encouraging than his ERA and over the past 7 days the Rangers have an 18 percent strikeout rate with a .301 wOBA and 85 wRC+. Jimenez can be wild and erratic but he's also capable of double digit strikeouts so keep that in mind if you do decide to stream Jimenez on Saturday.

Sunday

Nate Karns and the Tampa Bay Rays host the Kansas City Royals in a Sunday afternoon game. Over his past 4 starts Karns has a 1-0 record with 23 punch outs, 12 walks and 5 bombs over 18.2 innings pitched. Average 3.99 xFIP and against a Royals team who over the past 7 days have a 12 percent strikeout rate with a .324 wOBA and 106 wRC+ may seem illogical Karns leads the Majors with 18 games with less than 2 earned runs so keep this in mind before you decide to not stream Karns on Sunday.

John Lamb and the Cincinnati Reds play host to the Milwaukee Brewers for a Sunday afternoon game. Lamb has just 3 starts his season with a 0-2 record and 21 strikeouts, 5 walks and 3 bombs over 16.1 innings pitched. Super 3.43 xFIP and as I said before over the past week the Brewers have been whiffing at a rate of 21 percent with a team wOBA of .365 and wRC+ of 128. This is another one where you focus on the strikeouts and hope for the best in the other scoring categories.

Good luck this weekend Fantasy Baseball owner!
